My opinion of Verizon Fios has hit rock bottom. Price increases every year, no way to reach anyone on phone (one hour holds}.

Promotions are dropped and not renewed. Want to leave - they don't care. This is my opinion, for more facts look them up on the Better Business Bureaus' ratings. Service reps can be rude and nasty if you can get a person (unlikely).

They even go so far, it seems, as to turn down their phone volume so you have difficulty hearing them.

Call at noon or midnight and there is always a wait of 30 minutes or more, sometimes followed by a hang-up. The escalation department for complaints is more of the same with calls seldom returned.

Half the reason "want to leave- verizon doesn't care" is because 90% of the canceling customers think they will come out and run all new lines for free. And when a tech arrives and informs of the billing for what they want, the customer turns into a 3 year old and threatens to cancel.

If verizon Gave away everything for free, where would the profit be. They would have to pray you stayed with them for 2 years just so your bills could turn profit for them. There is also a possibility that you are not the only customer and that they service millions, so yeah, there is going to be a wait in the phone. When you have to call the city about your water and there is a 20 minute wait to talk to someone, do you cancel your water.

The heightened expectations of the consumer are their own personal let down. Do put it off on verizon.
