I switched my cell phone service to another provider (Walmart family plan rocks!). When I contacted Verizon they said if I keep my tablet service with them it will only cost me $20 or so per month....I just received $174 bill from Verizon for my tablet service with them. I called them and the very rude Verizon rep kept repeating to me 'to read my contract' over and over again. It turns out that the unlimited plan I had for my cell phone still was in force since I kept the tablet service with them. They are total liars on telling me if I kept the tablet service that it would only cost about $20 per month. Advice for others: cancel all services with Verizon when you transfer your cell service to another provider.....

Verizon's billing practices are a trainwreck

I have several numbers and services rolled into a Verizon One Bill, including my mobile service. I have been trying for FOUR MONTHS (!!!!!) to de-enroll from the One Bill; I have spent hours and hours on the phone with Verizon reps trying to de-enroll and register the mobile number in their Unlimited Data program. They tell me they think they have the problem solved, but the account is never changed; still in One Bill, still getting charged for overage usage. I am running out of patience with these people, although all the representatives I have spoken to have been articulate, earnest, and attentive, no one can get the account straightened out. Also, I have just spent one hour trying to pay my bill online; their system keeps looping me into verifying my ID's! Do they think someone else is going to pay the bill for me? I'd be fine with that! What a confusing, irritating, disorganized way to do business! NO WONDER they have problems with collections; they make it impossible! I just paid two electric bills online in five minutes and have now wasted 75 minutes of my life trying to pay these bozos, and not got it done yet! Maddening!

Hi I been verizon customer for years. The customer service with this company. They try to *** over with i phone by saying its out of warranty. I have anything but problems with this phone by shut it self and upate it self. Wouldn"t turn on for hours. Now with the billing wouldn't work with you. I have same banking account for years and now its not go enough something with routing number, Am done with ***. I called them with routing number and account not good enough. How do you get a class action suit against verizon? They are ***.

Ripping people off. Any help would be appreciated. Worse customer service. Dont like to be lied to or cheated out of money.

Trying to charge me $2,500 for phone not returned. One time i call no phones received. Other times oh yea we received your phones but you sent the wrong phones? Kind of hard to do when i only owed 2 phones from verizon.

They were in original boxes. But ask to send me proof of what they received, either they hang up or say we dont have to do that.

i have to get a lawyer to request the proof? What a joke!!!!

If you're talking about the unlimited wifi usage they quite offering years ago, I know exactly what you're talking about! I have the "hot spot" 3G and have had the unlimited usage for 10+ years and was told as long as I remained with the 3G it would be grandfathered in at no additional cost.

For this reason I have remained at the slower 3G but I noticed my Nov, 2016 bill was a little over $20 more than normal with a notation "I had made a change to my service". Knowing I had not made a change I contacted c/s just to be informed I was being charged a $20 fee on top of the $59.99 cost of the hot spot to cover the unlimited wifi usage. This was done without any prior notice or authorization by me. I refused to pay it last month and again this month.

I have yet to be able to speak with anyone in authority but still trying.

In the meantime I am looking for a different option! This should be illegal!

Verizon - No network service, sporadic connestions, dropped or bever recieved calls since September

I have been with Verizon for years, Love them! I have had ATT and Sprint and Verizon had the best customer service and call quality for years. Suddenly in September I get no signal or sporadic signal at my house and I am home almost all day every day with no land line. I have spoken to reps many times each month since then and they have tried all sorts of things. first blaming my phone ( when My husband has similar issues with his different phone and only at home) then they asked if I had changed homes, roofs, siding? all were the same for the last 5 years. same phone as well. We had noticed that a mile south of us we got great signal and as we came a mile north you could watch the bars fall off the phones. We can't even get reliable signal from the driveway now. Neither can a relative that isn't even on Verizon but a similar service that uses their towers. I can make a call with 2 bars and be cut off and unable to call or text back sitting in the same spot, due to no network connection. After months their solution is to either send me a box that will allow my phone to use my internet to get network connection for calls and texts at my home OR to spend hundreds of dollars and add payments to my monthly bill to buy new phones that would connect to my internet wifi to do the same thing. I tried to explain the logic of paying them the same money for a service I no longer get from them but have to piggy back off my cable provider is bad business and really cheating me and my cable company while Verizon gets the same money or more for the new phones to use someone elses lines and data to get the service I pay Verizon for. Many people have limited data amounts on their cable now and don't understand that their phones can be eating this up when at home due to verizon's inadequate service now. It's just plain ripping people off, cheating using cable internet providers data and you can't get the reps to understand this. They check their maps and say your area has no outages, they say they will send techs to your area to check it and never do. This is bad business verizon and plain cheating everyone.

I have been arguing with verizon for the last year now when they started putting another charge on my bill. My husband and I have been with verizon for the last 20 yrs, cause it's the only cell service that works for rural areas. He needed a new phone, was up to get one, what verizon said on bill, and I was going to change service from net10 to verizon. He seen the Extravert2, slide phone, we seen it online from verizon and went to a store with verizon's name in it. This phone was only supposed to be $109 with payments added to our bill of $4.58 per month. We have been charged $10.41 per month with grand total of $249 per phone????? Been arguing about this phone because workers at the store on Canton rd. Carrollton,OH told us that we can use wifi and get any apps downloaded to this phone, well I went back over and over and then since I couldn't get this phone to do anything I wanted I got a 'hotspot' for wifi from Verizon, even though I told the girl that I had one that was given to me by my neighbor, she told me that it wouldn't work and I had to get new one??? It didn't work as it should have for first 5 days I had it, took it back and owed $35, restock fee, A FEE TO TAKE IT INTO A BACK DOOR OF THE SAME BUSINESS??? I have been into it with verizon since they wouldn't take the phone that did nothing I needed back, even going to N.Canton at the main Verizon office who told me that "they were not responsible for what goverizonwireless charged me or they couldn't take the bill off." Even though I was a new customer and my husband was up for a new phone... Since September of 2015 we have been messaging Verizon on FB. I want the price that it was offered online which was $109 and $4.58 per month per phone. Yesterday I stayed on messenger from 2pm till 10:30 with about 5 employees, who kept asking me what my password, #'s, and why I wanted to cancel my data that was up to 8GB now because of all the overages, which are not really overages because if you look on their page they say "data is ESTIMATED" well then when you tell me that I went over .004 bites of data and charge me $15 for GB that you take back when you load my data on the first time on the 18th then you won't load it until 12:00am on the 19th of the month, you make us use our data 31 days??? When I ask to change the data date that it loads you tell me "you can't because the contracts that you signed to buy the other phone WON'T LET YOU", well your main office in N.Canton tells me that goverizonwireless ISN'T AFFILIATED with your BUSINESS, but YOUR NAME IS PRESENT IN THEIR BUSINESS. This makes you affiliated, 1. your name is in their business name, 2. they can get into our account and bill us from you 3. they can lie to your customers and you really don't care what they are charging them or YOU WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I was also charged a bunch of times a $5.00 late fee, in which I was NOT LATE paying, but didn't pay the full amount, more than 9/16 of the bill was paid, the only difference was the new amount under $20 was not added to old bill amount. Do you realize what the LATE FEES DO TO YOUR CREDIT RATING??? most people don't think of this but I know what it does. My August bill had a $15 overage on it while they also charged $10 for 2 extra GB because Verizon has no real way of seeing how much data you do use. So instead of paying $184 (for 3phones, 2 smart and one regular old cell) I had to pay $204 because you added this overage also even though I bought 2 extra GB...... I want the overages that I paid for, the late fees we've been charged, and the charges for a slide phone, which is not considered a 'smart phone' back..... This is going to go in complaint to Mike DeWine, Ohio's attorney general and Verizon, along with on a complaints list that Verizon is well known....
