Verizon high speed internet is pretty much worthless. Myself and my brother got it at the same time.
It took them over a month after he started paying for him to get it hooked up because there was a problem they never checked on. Oh, and ro refund; they said there would be, but it's never materialized. I couldn't ever log in to my verizon e-mail and neither could the tech support. Getting to tech support is a chore in itself: recording for about 15-20 minutes then a real person who will hang up on you when "transferring" your call.
They don't care about your inconvenience and you won't be re-emburseed--they might say you will, but it never comes off your bill.
And now for the past two days, I've had to manually reset the internet connection. Not worth the price, but it is the cheapest, so they know they've got you.
