Verizon FIOS contracts
Late last year I agreed to a two year contract with Verizon FIOS (phone, internet and cable).In June I noticed a bill increased and I contacted Verizon.
They said that I entered a contract for the service and not equipment. They raised my set top box "rental fees". The customer service gave me a promotional discount that expires Jan. '13.
I opened up this months bill and they increased my set top box rental AGAIN! I contacted Verizon again and the agent apologized to me and said there was nothing he can do. You have to have a set top box to receive Verizon cable. My hands are tied with the two year contract so they are raising the rental on the set top boxes knowing I can't do anything about it.
I have had FIOS for over 5 years with the same boxes so I know they have been paid for.
A contract should be all inclusive for the equipment you need to receive the services.
