In all our previous dealings with Verizon, their customer service reps have been friendly and accomodating. Recently, however, our service was interrupted after a customer service rep failed to record payment details arranged on the phone.

Since that time, we are somehow flagged as pariah customers and inevitably get routed to surly, rude, insulting customer-intimidation reps no matter what the reason for our call. Most recently, we have been told "you better mind your Ps and Qs or you will probably lose your job", "if you don't pay your bill, I will turn your phone off again", and other comments that sound more like trailer trash rhetoric than customer service.

For this reason alone we will be terminating our Verizon service after more than 10 years of brand loyalty. No one needs that kind of garbage from a corporation that claims to offer quality service to its customers.
