On November 3 my cable wires were ripped off the poles on the street and I notified Verizon who in turn told me I won't be able to get any service until November 5th. I insisted I get my services sooner because of my job and a lady assured me I would have gotten service on the 4th after being with her on the phone for over 30 minutes.

She lied to me. Nobody showed up so I called and was told the service will be on on the 5th. I received a text message on the 5th telling me a technical will be here by 8 pm. I waited no one showed up.

Someone came on the 7th.

Verizon customer rep lied all the way. I have no confidence in them.

Sorry you had that experience. When you call in regarding downed wires etc it can sometimes be difficult for CSRs to make sure your issue is resolved in a timely manner. As the CSRs have no way of knowing what is happening in dispatch.
