We've been faithful long long time customers with Verizon FiOS, mainly because of the solid internet and cable tv connections. We've stayed even when they've made unauthorized changes to our account that jacked up our bill.
Should tell you how bad Comcast and RCN are in our area...
This isn't so much of a huge issue as it is just another harsh reminder of how little current customers mean to them. Verizon is currently running a promotion where you get Discovery+ for free for 12 months with new customers. We were out of contract at the time and had thought about dumping everything but internet with them and decided to go with another 2 yr contract instead. Mainly, because of some health issues.
We thought a new contract would also include the promo. Apparently, we were wrong.
I can accept that, but to be told that the promo expired as to one of the reasons we can't have it was just BS and insulting. The other non-reality based reason was that the promo is for wireless customers.
User's recommendation: We should've dropped them when we had the chance.
