Verizon has been increasing our bill in an attempt to force us off our copper line and to accept FiOs. In May of 2015, monthly total for DSL plus phone bundle in MA suburb outside Boston was $81, then rate increase in July of 2015 to $90, now new rate increase in July of 2016 to $97. There are is a very limited and inadequate options in regards to Verizon Fios internet and voice bundles to choose from here at Harbor Point Apartments, Dorchester, MA. This is quite different and lacking from what other parts of the city (Boston, MA) and its surrounding areas have to select from. Only choice for service in this area - had Comcast previous - I have never been more disappointed in a company - from customer service to the On Demand list - if I had known, I would have bought books. Spent 90 minutes on the Verizon webpage to ask about a service problem, my wife found a telephone number and talk to a real person. Ten minute later she was told about a service problem in the area and they hope it would be fixed within 24 hours. Requiring at least 100 words to make this complaint, would appear to discourage people to complain, so I guess this webpage is a joke. Had this service as long as i can take it' the very worst possible service and nightmare you could imagine in the service area zip code 02301 MA. if you live in this area do not get verizon anything' their service, phone and internet dsl is the very worst. they have been to my location over 20 times in the last 4 months and the problem is always outside their support is the worst i ever experienced in my life. i just can put up with it any... Tried to my account on vacation mode. It failed to happen and then they billed for it. I called and waited on line 40 minutes for a supervisor and they hung up on me thru a botched transfer. I called back and waited 20 more minutes for an unhelpful supervisor who as incompetent as the first *** I spoke with. They apparently don't give their supervisors any authority. I paid my verizon cell phone bill to tv/internet company in error.when I tried to correct it the told me it would take 10 days to transfer.which I said was ok with. 2 different people told me it was scheduled to happen.it took almost 1 hour of my time to organise this.3 weeks later the cell phone company text me threating to cut my cell phone off within 24 hrs as the bill wasn't paid .So that hour was acomplete waste of time. After 24 years with Verizon I decided to go to a better and more respected company. I had an unlimited data package for years and they wanted to change it with the new phone I was buying. They are encouraging you to keep changing companies. The same thing happened with my Fios I changed when all my credits were finished and if I wanted to come back six months later I saved more that amount plus more. They don't care about customer's... I changed my Verizon services recently from just internet/FiOS TV to internet/FiOS TV/land phone. Verizon sent me an email June 5th saying my phone service had been turned on. No instructions on accessing the service or even what my phone number was. Numerous hours spent trying to sort this out. Finally, they send a tech who showed up almost 2 hours late.
