Deceptive/False Advertizing and Sales

In April 2020 I purchased a Samsung Note 10 Plus 5G from Verizon where I was already a customer. I purchased online and was told by the agent that I would get 5G service at no extra cost. Now after 5-6 exchanges with customer support and 2 visits to Verizon stores, I am told that the phone I purchased was incompatible with their Nationwide service...all I can get in my area. They refuse to upgrade me offering only lame denials and an offer to upgrade as long as I paid off my phone and purchased a new phone at a discount that was the same as offered to all other customers. Disgusting and shameful. I had a chance to speak with a member of management as well who did nothing to mitigate the wrong dealings this company seems to practice. I have been waiting for 3 months to see if they might have 2nd thoughts about treating their customers in this way.....crickets. I almost ready to leave and move to a company that practices fare and honest dealing with customers. User's recommendation: If you want 5G....look elsewhere.....Verizon is behind the curve and doesn't mind lying to cover it up.

I gave up on Verizon and switched to a new provider (T-Mobile). No carrier is perfect but so far, pleased with them.

Rebate issue

Verizon - Rebate issue
I have the original email pasted below then another email i sent in regards to never receiving this. I honestly feel since we purchased the phones for the TV rebate that regardless of how long its been it was part of the phone contract that the customer receives the tv . and we sent all the reciepts to the rebates center and contacted them over 10 times. Still to this day not received. Is there a manager i can speak to about a solution to this?? Maybe if i transfer my entire familys phone system back to verizon and add an addition line whixb would bw a total of 4 lines. Lets talk turkey. But we left verify for the simpme fact verizon never sent us our 50 inch Tv or evem bothered to follow up with reasons why. We followed all guidlines and rules and never got the contract met with Verizon and for what reason still dont know to this day. Also if you check your system history we asked to have it delivered to our florida address which never happened. 6 months later moved back to Ohio and never got a call back from Verizon to have it sent here since we never received pur tv rebate Best number to reach me 614.787.2858. Teacher's discount

Went thru their verification process and my daughter was verified as a teacher, but system would never let us apply for discount. Did not like her first name. Customer service is computer generated advise and useless. Never got to a human.

My service has been discontinued due to $400 of fraudulent spoofing calls.

Having made no 411 calls in 12 years with Fios, I was hit with $400 in 2 months. I spent 45 minutes on chat before I found out they could not access my bills. Spent 30 minutes with no one that could help me and was transferred and waited 25 minutes and no one picked up. I have paid my normal billing amount and still they discontinued my service. I have had Fios for12 years and retired from Verizon after 28 year in 2007. Somehow since then my company has become a 3rd world version of Comcast. So unless I can get this straight in 4 days, I will be a Comcast customer.

User's recommendation: Don't go there expecting any customer service. I could not even find a place to send written correspondence. They want the payment and nothing else. Sad for what has been a great company..
