For those experiencing the recent On-Demand blank screen/partial menu: I unplugged the cable box AND the modem for 30-45 seconds. Problem fixed! You may have to reset the modem to reacquire the IP address, though in my case I did not. If none of that works for you, contact Verizon and tell them to re-send the signal. Start simple though; Just unplug the cable box for 30 seconds...maybe a minute to be sure it reset. That might be all you need. Best wishes!

Resolved: Verizon - Customer dis-service

I plugged in my Verizon ellipsis 8 to charge it. I was getting a battery symbol flashing & a question mark. I went to Verizon website. I explained the problem. While I was on the phone I tried plugging in the tablet to my computer. No more flashing. I told the customer service rep this. He totally ignored me and said that the tablet could be damaged but it was out of warranty but they could fix it for $159.00!!! I could get a brand new one for less. I solved the problem myself no thanks to "brian" at verizon online customer service. Cant wait to leave Verizon just a few more months and then they are fired!

I just want Verizon know that they have lost touch with reality. They are providing a service, customers are unhappy but Verizon just keeps on with *** customer service rediculous pricing.

Resolved: Verizon FiOS Billing

We have been a FiOS customer for many years now. We have been really happy with their product for most of these years until a few months ago when I called them to ask a question about an offer I was seeing when logged into my account. The offer was for faster internet and the bundle price was lower than what I was currently under contract for. I wanted to know if I could take advantage of this without breaking my contract, etc. In the end no changes were requested and I decided to leave things as they were. So I thought! Within an hour I started getting emails from Verizon about my new services!!! I didn't request any changes and because I know you need to go through an order verification process - which obviously I did not - I assumed these were just errant emails auto generated by my call until I checked my account and saw that changes had been made and my bill was about to go up! I called immediately to tell them I didn't order any changes to my account and to please fix this. They tell me they cannot. The Triple Play Bundle we were under was no longer available and they don't have the means to put it back to the way it was. Are you kidding me? So, now they have made unauthorized charges to my account and jacked up my bill considerably and tell me I'm stuck with it. I called and asked for supervisors and eventually; because I called more than a few times trying to get some satisfaction, my call was redirected to a Customer Account Specialist and told that she is only one of a handful of these specialists. She eventually is able to apply various credits and gets our bill back down near to what it used to be. Finally, I think we have an acceptable resolution. Until the credits started disappearing. Did I mention the specialist gave me a phone number that I was supposed to be a direct line to her in case something goes wrong with my bill again? It goes to a VM for that department as a whole and neither of my 2 calls were returned. More BS from Verizon. I hate to say it but I've gotten used to the telecoms and the BS they serve up. I don't trust anything they say anymore. I did end up with a supervisor that said my discounts were still there just not visible when viewing the bill... i did see that my total due was still in the right ballpark so... we leave things be for a month. One of the main complaints I've had is in regards to the landline - ~$40/month to provide a way for what seemed like just spammers. Why pay for this? It just doesn't make sense. So, I decide to see what we can do about dropping our landline. During the call we discuss the savings we could have if we get into a new 2-year contract and I let them know we would like to remain out of contract for now as we are moving in less than a year. We don't now where yet. In the end they tell me that while the phone service is $40/month with the Triple Play the other two services will go up in the Double Play Bundle but our over all bill will go down $15/month. OK I'd rather get the full $40 but we'll take it. First months bill was as expected - this month not so much. Our bill is now higher - by about $15/month than it was before we dropped the landline and when I called to ask why I was told that this is normal and we are stuck with this unless we want to get a new Triple Play Bundle with a 2-year contract!!! We lost all but 2 of our discounts which I'm positive they will remove soon. Some of these discounts weren't bundle related they were "We're sorry we screwed up your account." discounts. They weren't due to expire yet so seriously WTF? Feels like we are being punished for continuing to be customers. Time to call Comcast...

Resolved: Verizon Fios renewal pricing

I have been a Verizon customer for 8 plus years. I called in the 28th of January to talk about renewing my bundle for 2 years and got a quote. I was told I had 2 weeks to make up my mind. At no time was I told the price could change in that 2 weeks. I called back today (less than two weeks) but was told that I now would have a new quote which would be $20 to $25 higher than the original quote. I explained that I was never told that the quote wasn't good for those two weeks. I asked to talk to a supervisor but got no help. If their quotes are not good for a period of time that should be explained to the customer. It should not be a surprise when you call back. I have never before gotten a quote, estimate,etc., that was not good for a period of time. If I had understood that this estimate included promotions that could change I would have accepted on that date. Verizon should train their customer representatives to make sure the customer understands that their estimate is not a true quote and may change at any time.
