According to the Verizon FAQ section, you can make changes to your existing plan. Visit Verizon Change Your Plan page for step-by-step instructions to change your current plan in My Verizon online or the My Verizon app.

You can add more data or increase your voice and messaging allowance. Keep in mind, if you have a plan with unlimited minutes and messages then data is the only allowance you may need to change.

Other plans will display options to change minutes, messages and data allowances. For other questions and complaints, you can contact Verizon customer service by phone at 800-922-0204

You never mentioned how you were continuing with your "online college" courses, but don't worry because any degree you get solely from one of those "online college" things will no doubt be considered worthless by a discerning potential employer. As to Verizon, just make sure you don't pay them anything and take any small hit from their reporting you to collections.

"Never pay for something you don't owe" is something you probably don't learn in any college. Just common sense.

You seem to have made a couple of mistakes: first, you didn't read the contract to see what, exactly you were agreeing to and second, you apparently failed to verify each monthly statement from Verizon and your card company to see what was being charged and by whom. This is how we learn.

Your choice now: either cancel and pay the early termination fee or continue to pay for another year.

The third option is to cancel, make sure they cannot charge your card by cancelling it and take the minor "hit" to your credit score. Up to you.

I added Fios TV to my bundle in June. For the first time muyy September bill included $93 in charges for movies and series purchased. I had neither ordered nor watched any such programming. I spoke with 4 different customer service representatives and could not convince any that I had been incorrectly charged. I was definitely cheated and seem to have no recourse. Also, when I joined FIOS it was with an offer of a 1 year renewal on my Amazon Prime membership. I was never notified that it expired in July and I could no longer take advantage of the offer. Again, no recourse available. Worst customer service ever, though the individuals were polite.

Verizon customer service is the worst . The numbers they give you do not work or your on hold for hours .

The chats are script controlled and always tell me to go to a store evee .

Verizon - Duplex with different bills/ same service

I own a duplex in a rural area and FIOS in not an option. Two addresses with the options of landline and broadband internet service. One bill was $9 more than the other so I began a chat to ask why. Over several chats, 3+ hours I couldn't get an answer so I went to an office. They called the customer service number and gave me a phone to wait on hold!!! At the store! Finally got an agent... now one bill is $25 more than the other!!! I couldn't be more unhappy with the service I have received.

Verizon - Incompetence at all levels

Details
A medical office with no phone service as a result of Verizon not scheduling a change from copper to fiber optic lines has been a disaster. I and my staff have spent at least 40 hours talking to Verizon to get service back. We were without phone service for almost 3 days. It's now 3 weeks and the 3 lines are still not functioning properly.
