New ReviewerWhen the pandemic started I needed Internet service. I called up Verizon because, at that time, my local cable company could not provide the service I needed.
The sales person at Verizon was very friendly and helpful and explained that even though I needed to use DSL temporarily, FIOS would be available in my area no later than June 2020. Fast forward to August 2021. I have called tech support many times with absolutely no resolution to either spotty internet or no internet at all. The people that I have talked to in the call center in India are apologetic and will escalate my issue immediately but there has been no true resolution to the problem.
I then called the sales department and spoke with Rodger who was extremely rude. He stated that there would be no credit for internet until my service was restored. I was not able to even obtain a partial credit. When I asked if I may speak to his supervisor he hung up on me.
I have been consistently trying to get this issue resolved since October of 2020 and as of right now not only do I not have DSL but FIOS will not be available until 2022. I had a technician call me yesterday and tell me that the rental office was closed, even though I knew that they were open to 8pm.
I stopped by after work and asked if they had closed earlier during the day and was informed that someone had been in the office all day and that no one from Verizon had stopped by. I am cancelling my service.
User's recommendation: buyer beware even if they are an established business. This company does not care about customer service.
Monetary Loss: $130.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
Verizon Pros: Polite technical support.
Verizon Cons: Poor service when needed the most.
