Verizon - Deceptive trade practice when purchased two new phones and related bill overcharges thereafter
Verizon customer for 9 years. Approx 90 days ago my wife and I went to a Verizon store to purchase two new Iphones.
Were given $800. combined trade in. I wanted to pay in full the difference but were told the trade difference had to be added to our phone bill...then we could pay in full. That was a lie.
Received our first bill called to get a payoff and was informed we couldn't pay off. We had to payout over 36 months and if we still wanted to payoff the phones we would lose the $800. trade allowance. At purchase we also refused ins.
on the phones but was added anyway. Since the phone purchase our phone bill is excessive and getting little service from the people they hire to handle issues.
User's recommendation: Don't believe what the instore sales people tell you. Poor serevice overall.
