At approx. 10:25 AM on 7/23/2020 we went to the Verizon Store Tanasbourne located at 2780 NE 106TH AVE, Hillsboro, OR, 97124, we needed to close our Business account and open a personal account and buy 2 new phones.
Upon arrival there was a tall young man with a long beard outside the front door with a clip board and one other man waiting in line, the young man asked us what we needed and we told him, the first thing he said to us was that he couldnt help us, that only one of us could go in, being surprised by this answer my husband asked why? and he repeated himself again and my husband remarked that was foolish when we both needed help, he then said that if we didnt like it we could take it up with the governor, that he didnt make the rules, he also remarked to my husband that my husband didnt need to be yell at him, my husband explained to him that he wasnt yelling, he wears hearing aids and that with these masks it is hard to understand and hear him. By that time my husband said to him that he didnt understand how we were going to do business with a company this way and maybe we should just go elsewhere, The young man said If you have to talk to me that away then we dont want you as a customer So we left. As we drove away I thought of many of way that this Verizon employee could have handled it, (1) he could have explained the 1 to 1 policy and apply it by having us wait till he could set up a sales person for each of us, (2) if he was smart he would have gotten a manager to intervene, or (3) explain that we could have made appointments on line at the same time.
After leaving we decided to go down to Infinity to see what the outcome would be with their company, I cant believe the difference in Customers Service they were willing to help us both at the same time with no problems and were very accommodating to our needs.
Let me state this we have had a account with Verizon for approx. 20 years, we are both senior citizens, my husband is a retired Fire Fighter and he wears hearing ads and I am disabled, this is not the way we should have been treated.
