One Talk is CRAP!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We have had One Talk for 2 1/2 month. It's is CRAP!! It doen't work, has not worked form day one and no one at verizon can make it work, but they can sure bill you. I can't count how many times I was told "We'll have someone call you that can fix your problem". Haven't had but one call back, but they had to have someone else call because they couldn't help me. 30+ days later, still waiting for a call. I have been with verizon for over 12 years, but I think I'm going to have to make a change.

Internet hasn't worked for months and they can't fix it

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The internet stopped working the first week of August. I called several times to trouble shoot the problem, but after 2+ months they could not fix the problem. I had to change to a provider that could give me internet service that works. My service was paid until the end of September. When I cancelled, they said "Where should I send your final bill?" I was paid ahead for a service that does not work. They owe me money back. I asked where to return the equipment and they said don't worry about it we don't want it back. I recently received a bill for service and rental fee, and I did not get the refund they owe me. So I contacted the Better Business Bureau and ended up doing an investigation just to find the legal department's address. They also need this information to issue and mail out the summons for the trial in LEH Township for Verizon accounts# 755-40*-334-*001-33. I'm surprised Verizon has become this bad with business.

I am not a verizon tech

I had a low battery signal on my unit. I called Verizon and was instructed to buy a battery for $50.

They sent me the battery. I am a senior citizen with arthritis and I could not remove the terminals from the old battery. I called Verizon, waiting the usual 20 minutes, and spoke with a man who said I could order a service call for no charge. The technician came and installed new equipment that doesn’t need a battery backup.

So I called Verizon and waited on hold again for a woman who agreed to send me a label to return the battery and get my money back. In the meantime, the man I spoke to said I needed a new router. I asked if it would change anything in our system and he assured me that it would not and further that it would make my internet faster. I received this router.

I plugged in everything like it was on the old router. My husband’s computer then didn’t work. And there was no difference in speed. I am returning the router and the battery.

In the future, if you are going to change the equipment, please don’t make me buy something that won’t be needed.

If you want to change out equipment, please don’t tell me it’s easy. It is not.

Worst Customer Service Ever!

My husband and I purchased a phone from verizon 2 years ago. After we got home, we relized that the phone would not turn on. We attepted to charge the phone, but nothing. So we went back to the verizon store in Ontario California only to have our account screwed up. After receiving a replacement, the sales clerk made the error of opening a second account. He was suppose to cancel the account on the first phone, not open a second one. How do we know? Because verizon customer service informed us of their error. So of course we then get told from the credit brewer we owe verizon $700 dollars for a second phone we do not have. After verizon realized they made the mistake, and confirmed they have the phone, we were told it will take 7 to 10 days to fix it. It has been 2 years of waiting for them to fix their mistake. Therefore, our credit report still shows we owe verizon $700 dollars. Now, my current phone needs to be upgrade which of course we can't do since our account with verizon is on hold. So we are currently paying a bill for a phone that only charges up to 50%. So now my husband been calling customer service to only be left on hold until he hangs up, or just avoid answering his call in general. With that being said, we are canceling our account with verizon, may even get a lawyer involved at this point to clear our credit. Never again will I go to verizon, or recommend them.

Rude Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Let me start off by saying, I called two days prior validating we could set up payment with no interruption in service until the 10th, upon finding out my services had been cut off, I called as anyone would do, the first three people were rude, the one said she transferred me to a supervisor, where I am pretty sure it was still the same one, or they were sitting together, but then the last one put me on hold and never came back, so I called again, where I must of been flagged because instantly got rudeness and and short answers and once again told she was transferring me but was left on the line forever, where then there is the last phone call where the first was rude again.... and then followed by another one who I kid you not whispers **** you at 9 minutes and 30 seconds into the phone call and then while i was talking was making rude noises going what , sorry mam i can't hear you, what??? Verizon has yet to comment back about this behavior, I am trying to attach the conversation to this blog or whatever. I thought I heard the person say it during the conversation, but wasn't sure, upon playing the recorded conversation back, yep there it is. Clear as day. We both work, and we work hard for the State and to be treated by this with a service that we are paying good hard earned money for is ridiculous. The fact that Verizon could care less, is a very sad feeling. I understand that the bottom line is probably not affected by one or two people but customer service is, and I'm wondering what a legal team would think of this for being aggressive obscene behavior from a company to a customer. I wasn't rude to them, I simply asked that they honor what they said, in the beginning of the conversation, it clearly speaks of the pre arrangements of the billing terms to begin with but kept telling me nothing was setup. I put up with their lies and lack of work ethic trying to purchase a new ipad and then again when we had to utilize the insurance to fix an ipad which took four weeks of their lying to this. If I could figure out how to upload the conversation, I would.

Lies, Lies, Lies

(1) We switched our wireless service from Sprint to Verizon after a promise of a $500 gift card to offset Sprint termination charges. Never received any "gift card" or offset to our monthly bill. Now we have problems with Sprint. (2) We acquired FiOS wireless for streaming television and wi-fi use. At that time we were promised that we would receive all local channels and could sign up for NFL and NESN services. We do not get any local channels unless we install a digital antenna and even then receptions spotty. As for the NFL in particular, it is only available if you have cable tv installed which also seems to apply for many other "free" channels. (3) Verizon Wireless is absurdly expensive. (4) For television service there is no competition, therefore it's a monopoly.

Liars

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Long story short i signed up for their internet plan for 64.99 a month and whoever i spoke on the phone told me that was a high speed internet plan. My service was connected and i noticed it was very slow. I gave it a couple of days to see if it would improve. My boyfriend called them to switch from his 89.99 cable+internet plan and verizon told him that the 64.99 was their slowest internet plan and to just switch plans he would had to pay over 200 dollars. I called verizon immediately and tried to have them fix my internet but they kept insisting that my area was the problem why the internet was so slow. I didnt tell them that another custumer service rep told my boyfriend their so called “high speed internet” plan for 64.99 was their *** internet so i immediately cancelled my service. They are liars and i will never sign up with verizon again. I switched to metrocast and their 150mbps internet for 83.00 dollars a month with no contract no cancellation fees is much better and faster proving that my area was not the problem of such slow and *** internet verizon was providing me.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Having set up box issue. Verizon said hardware malfunction. Send me replacement box, found it half size what i originally have, plus front area is badly scratch and gouge. Send it back, day later, got another box, same size as replacement box but in better shape. Hook it up, activated it, all is ok except no LED display...aka, no clock, no channel indicator. I look in setting for any clock setting or display setting, found non. Unacceptable, contact Verizon again.. all they can say is sorry, sorry, sorry...blah, blah... No, i am not happy, why send me replacement box that don't have LED display. Gave them serial numbers, box number etc..etc.. still send me wrong box twice. Will be canceling Verizon soon.

Awful service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I come home from work to no internet. I spend over an hour on the phone talking to several different people to finally be told they can’t fix it and someone must come out. They only come out until 5PM, so I have to miss work if I want my internet fixed. I’m then told I may be charged to fix the problem. Did I mention I JUST renewed a 2 year contract at $160+ a month with them and just got all brand new equipment installed? I have a second job I work from home aside from my full time job and am losing money because of this. I also have children who sometimes need internet for school. I’m paying an outrageous amount of money for service that doesn’t even work that I may have to pay to fix.

I bought a prepaid Verizon phone and the set up menu have the option of activating as prepaid or bringing into family plan. After trying to research online I brought it into the family plan but the phone line wouldn’t make calls after activation which included a $30 activation fee. After waiting on hold I spoke with a rep who said that shouldn’t have happened since you need to activate as a prepaid for a month. She was going to get a sales rep on the line but instead I was taken to a menu and had to start all over.

Verizon renigged on agreement to pay comcast last bill.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
A verizon rep knocked on our door offering the very service and price that I would be looking for when my comcast contract was up in three months. He then closed by offering to buy out my Comcast contract (up to $500). "Just request your last bill from Comcast and forward it to us and we will write you a check for the amount." Fast forward 40 days. I have my final bill in hand and after 4 hours of searching and calling I get Verizon rep on the phone that can help. "Oh no sir, We only pay 'Early Termination Fees'. We have never and will never pay anyone's bill" (long story omitted) And that is their final position.

FIOS doesn't record shows that has been delayed.

I would like to understand why the FIOS program can figure out when a TV show that I have scheduled on my DVR has moved to a new night but it cannot manage to continue recording a show when it starts late. For example – CBS shows often run late because of Amazing Race or football or some other live show. So your 8, 9 and 10 pm shows run into the time scheduled for the next show. So I have to figure out which show should have started at 8, watch it, then find the show that was scheduled for 9 to see the end of the 8 pm show. Then watch part of the 9 pm show then find the 10 pm show to see the finish. Now I have to record the nightly news because the 10 pm show has gone over to the 10 pm show. First of all you should not have live shows run over into scheduled programs, but if they do, then your program should record the whole show – not just the hour that it was scheduled. I even have modified the scheduled program to continue recording for 30 minutes after the original end time – but it doesn’t work.
