As of now, got my parents their new phones, service, and provider. We all lost money in the process but I resolved the issue.
Verizon lost 5 customers from this family. I really did like your service but since you changed, so did we.
Had no choice but to go without phones for a week because we had get a new plan with another phone company.

Preferred solution: How can you put a price on lost appointments, business meetings, expected calls. Telling people it's alright because I've got time to pay my bill but you disconnect it?
User's recommendation: Pay your bill early or they'll disconnect your service. You aren't the only phone company in this business either.

Refund never happened.
I had Verizon for 11 days in October 2023. I promptly returned the phone on day 14 of the 30 day "worry free" period.
Then Verizon took $1,001.53 form my social security based bank account. They admitted to me being owed a full refund. 5 months later, they closed my account and cannot refund a closed account. No less than 40 calls, 100's of lies and devious tactics, they closed my account.
I'm also out a $1,300.00 cash advance, to stop from becoming homeless, interest, and a $537.40 phone I traded in without getting a dime of the $800.00 discount they promised. With interest, I've paid Verizon $2,971.68 for 11 days of service. I can't afford a lawyer. Legal Aid isn't taking clients currently.
VERIZON SUCKS! I have every right to say it.
A racist girl was my original contact with Verizon. I have well documented proof.

BUYER BEWARE!! VERIZON AUTHORIZED RETAILER STORES
My 84 year old mother, a great-grandmother and on a fixed monthly income, went to Verizon after being with AT&T for decades to reduce her monthly bill.
We went to our local Verizon store which was issue number one. Apparently, there are Verizon stores that ARE NOT APPROVED Verizon stores, but are just authorized retailer stores. Who knew?? At the time Samsung had a special, trade in your Samsung Note 10 for the Ultra 22 and get $800 off the phone.
Also they offered a Seniors plan to lower her cost. Win, Win right? NO, The Verizon store took my mother's phone, did not send it into Verizon for the rebate, took us several months to get it applied to her account, that is after we had to contact the local police department to get the phone back from the Verizon store. Only to find out later on that she was STILL being billed for the phone.
Keep in mind, that the phone was PAID IN FULL. Her bills consisted of charges for smart home, Apple Arcade, and other charges that she did not need or sign up for. In the end, she was paying almost $200 a month for a phone.
