Verizon charges even after you die

My 95 yo mother moved to an Assisted Living Community after more than a decade of being a Verizon customer. We needed to cancel the cable, but keep the phone while the house was on the market. FACT: if you move or DIE, you still get hit with the fee. My entire family is switching.

*** poor customer service and being lied to in the process

I have been a customer with Verizon since 2003 and i have had nothing but *** Ihave the galaxy S6 plus now. Before this phone i can't remember what phone i had but that phone would drop calls while i am on it out the blue and would not let me dial out for approx five minutes after that. Also the phone would just shut off automatically. I called and got tech support from upgrading the software to not setting up my goole account to make sure that the phone would work in it's original form. Still the same problem. I went through 8 replacements before they finally agreed to give me anothe type of phone. They told me they valued me as a long time customer and wanted to make it right So they gave me the latest phone at the time. So now my parents are on my acct.my mom bought a new phone towards the end of Feb and it was working fine. Then end of March she received an meesage to upgrade the software and she did then she was unable to connect to WIFI. We called and went through all of the trouble shoting and they agreed to send out a replacement. We received the replacement and statrted to use the phone and it worked great. Able to connect to WIFI and everything. The very next day she received the upgrade software and she did. Now she can;t connect to WIFI. My Dad received the same upgrade software and now he can't connect to WIFI wither. Called Customer Service and explained to them the problem that we just got the phone and now we can't connect. They offered TEch supposrt and i told them my past expierence with the 8 replacements and told them I wanted different phones for them b/c i wasn;t going to go through all the replacements again. Asked for a supv and supposdely a supv got on the phone. After telling my problems to her she agrred to send me to LG Stylo. this was on Monday April 3rd, I called back on April 4th to get a tracking number and the rep told me the order was placed but had not shipped so their was no tracking number but i should recieve them by Thursday the 5th. Today is April 6th and I called b/c the phones had not ben received. They show no order of the phones and the first rep said she doesn't even show who i spoke to nor anyhting about new phones being sent. I asked for a supv she then transferred me to a Technical lead. he can only authorize replacements of the same phone after they troubleshoot. I refused to speak with him and asked for an actual supv. He transferred to the Care department where i spoke with a customer service rep. Sopke with the a rep and asked for her supv. She kept saying that only tech supprt can authoriza a replacement. I asked for her supv again. She said that I need to speak with tech support. She finally got her supv on the phone and she said that only Tech support can auth it. So she transferred me again to Tech support. Finally got a Woman by the name of Jenny on the phone that was able to help me. I have never been so dissapointment, pissed and felt under appreciated that my time and money was not important and not appreciated. I am done with Verizon wireless and will elt everyone know of both bad expeirences that I have had!

Verizon is the worst of it all. I will never ever ever again use them !

I decided to leave xfinity for verizon, thinking that they would be more affordable ( based on what i found online). The first issue was the speed. For someone who download a lot, the service was really bad. It would come and go as it feels. Second issue was that of the price. I found a $54.00/service and decided to go with it. My first bill came to $96.00. My second bill was $143.00. I called them and they started telling me about different charges i was responsible for. To cut the whole thing short, I disconnected the service and was told that i had to pay $96.00 because they pre charge people for the service that is gonna be used. I thank God that I stopped dealing with those scammer. within two monts i spend about + or - $300.00 with verizon for a service that was slower than anything i have seen.

False advertising

I seen an ad on their website, buy an iPhone 8 get it for 50% off, I called and the rep informed me that my iPhone was obsolete and nobody wants it for a trade in, but he also informed me that to get this deal I needed to trade in an iPhone 8 or plus or iPhone 10 to get this deal, there was nothing on the site on trade in's, Why are they putting these ads up and you can't take advantage of it. So I didn't get the iphone8 plus that I wanted. I have been a customer for over 20 years its time to find another carrier. They have put ads on there web site in the past for deals you call and you can't get WHY!!!!!!

I sign up for two years for 183.00.

I sign up for 183.00 for two years They give it to me for one month then the next month they raise it to 202.00. They know there's noone will protect . I can't get out of the contract without paying a big fee.

Nice customer service , NOT!!!

Wife purchased to Apple3 watches in November 2017. December 2017 received a bill for $1400 , I was being forced into buy out. I called Verizon, oh we don’t know how you got off of the payment plan for your device payments, but rest assured we can correct this. OK, fast forward one month I kept the bill current, and upon receiving December‘s bill , It said $987 ! Still reflecting that I was being forced into buying out. I once again called Verizon, I was rudely disconnected by one agent that didn’t understand what was going on. When I spoke to the second agent, and they said I don’t know what they were trying to do when you called last month, they only left partial notes in system. However I am going to put in a work order, and this will be taken care of immediately. If you have any further problems please refer to the work order reference number. OK, fast forward to January‘s bill. Bill Reed’s $1100! This is not working so well. Once again I called Verizon. We’re sorry we don’t know what happened it should have gone through last month, let’s put in a work order! I already have a work order here’s my reference number. OK I’m going to credit your account $155 for your troubles, and we’re going to try to get you set back up on Device payments. I’m going to transfer you to technical assistance and let them help you with that. Blah blah blah, it should be fixed within a week or so sir, do not pay anything on this bill until you hear back from us. February, this is very upsetting to say the least. Your work order has still not gone through sir, just pay your usual bill amount, Until you hear back from us. We were not disconnect you for nonpayment of a device as long as you are under this hold. Just received a letter in the mail from Verizon stating that the work orders were denied, and that I would have to buy out my devices , And because they claim I told them to disconnect my services for the devices. So now they expect me to pay out of pocket $900 up front because of their mistake, in order for me to keep service active! Then they would credit my account with $200 after applying a $200 promo rebate! I have never been so upset, I was livid , but never cursed or raised my voice. They said once device is off of service plan that you can’t re establish service on device. I never had device service on the “ stand alone line” cellular data has said since day 1 “ add plan for service”! This is the worst experience I ha e ever had with any company for any reason. I have been with Verizon for 8 years so they admitted fault and credited my account with a total of $350 since November but refuse to offer me service for my watches that they sold me. Now I have to pay $560 a month for my bill and device payment combined.!

I have been without phone service now for two days and no other way to reach the outside world and have grandchildren living with me and if I need help from an accident I have not way to reach the help. I was sent an email telling me the line was fixed but never received a phone call to prove to me that if was fixed. My granddaughter was home all day so they could have called to be sure I had service. I called to complain and was told a supervisor would be calling me within half an hour and NEVER did get a call back.

I had better cable in the 1990s

My Fios service is terrible on my DVR, it resets all the time. I am currently on 25 minutes of resets while I am typing this. I plan to switch to Cox or Direct TV within 2 weeks. I had a service call a couple of months ago and the guy was nice but could not fix anything. He was actually a database administrator that they had making repair calls to customer's houses. I have had no problems with the internet service but I will never use Verizon for anything going forward. I had better cable service back in the 1980s and 1990s. Verizon Fios is really bad and frustrating. Worst cable service I have ever had.

Extremely unhappy with verizon's allowing AOL to handle Emails

AOL sucks big time and Verizon decided to choose these losers to handle its emails. I guess couldn't find anyone else that was more "cost effective". Emails don't come through on time, like when a secure site is sending you a time sensitive code to use in order to perform some task on their site, then 2 hours later they all come through, not only the ones you were waiting for but emails from two days ago already in your inbox. Now you have to go through and delete all the duplicates. Can't wait for contract to expire and completely dump Verizon; their mobile service, FIOS, Internet, everything.

FYI - Verizon owns AOL. Don't know why they changed how they handle email, but I've had no issues with my email since the changeover. Still use the same email clients.
