One Talk outage AGAIN!

My One Talk business phone system is down again, going on 6 hours now. Verizon is "working on it". We have had numerous outages the last year, but are normally less than an hour. The worst was about 18 hours. Will be changing phone companies shortly despite the early termination costs; I won't put up with this any longer.

Paying for 75 mbps, getting less than 10

I have a 75/75 mbps service plan with Verizon. The router is working fine, the service is not. I am not being given the service I pay for. Recently I began to have some issues watching videos so I tested the network. The results are that in the AM I am usually (not always) getting the promised speeds. Later in the day I am getting 6 / 14 mbps and sometimes less. When I called Verizon to speak with them about it I went through several minutes of being told they'd MUCH rather I work on it myself using their web interface and punching in various numbers to try to actually get to a person, then I finally was told I can wait over an hour on the phone or get a call back. I pressed the 1 to get a call back and I was put on hold with no way to get back to the option to get a call back. Then the most horrible electronic noise in different notes started. I put my phone on speaker and lowered the volume to the minimum (not choice offered to wait in silence because Verizon is not technically able to offer options I guess). The minimum volume for this insane noise can be heard a room away. The noise drives me nuts it is so horrible. Verizon really really really does not want to interact with customers. I have tested my service three days in a row at different times, it is extremely irregular.

Lies from Customer Service Rep

I am writing in regard to a recent encounter with your Corporate Office. The first mistake is a mishap on the behalf of myself. I purchased an IPhone 6+ from a social website that has an outstanding balance, which came from my neighbors grandson. However, before providing the funds, I called into your corporation to confirm the IMEI number could be processed with no issues. I first spoke with a representative named Kristine in your prepaid division. She assured this could be done, advised I go to my nearest Verizon retailer and purchase a sim card, I then advised I was almost two hours away, and asked if going to a local Dollar General, she advised do so. I then go to the retailer, and spend my gas and time to purchase a $74 transaction so that I could give this to my son on his birthday. Kristine assured to call me back in the allotted time it would take. She assured this phone was removed from unpaid bill list and lied in front of retail Corp employee it was removed.

Welcome to Verizon, Please bend over

I Called Verizon on 5/18/18 to repair a residential phone line. Sounds simple enough doesn’t it. They refused to repair the existing line and said they were going to run a new fiber cable to the house. A week later on 5/25 they showed up and ran a cable above ground across my neighbors driveway, through his yard, and across my yard. They said they would be back in under week to bury the cable. It is now 7/1/18 and after numerous calls and hours of wasted time to the “dummy that answers the phone department” at Verizon, they still refuse to finish the job. I was promised they would be here, and took off work to be here for them on 6/28 and again on 6/29. No call to say were not coming or a reason they didn't show up. I can get nothing from Verizon but more lies and run around. I have now lost two days from work and accomplished nothing. I still have a dangerous trip hazard across my neighbors driveway, his yard, and my yard. Perhaps there waiting for someone to get hurt before responding. If this cable was run like this across a construction site, OHSA would be all over them but. They don’t want the construction workers getting hurt but Verizon seems to think it’s OK if children get hurt. After past experiences with Verizon, I checked the Better Business Bureau site for similar complaints. I cant help but notice they are almost all negative. It’s easy to spot the ones that were written by Verizon employees because there flagged with green boxes to the left of the review. The part I find so interesting is that even with all these complaints and negative reviews, they still managed to get an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Sounds like any company with the money can buy a A+ rating from the BBB although I’m sure they will deny this. It’s also very disturbing that the FCC, the government agency that’s supposed to regulate communication company’s would allow this to continue. It seams we have been completely abandoned by the agency that should be protecting us.

Right, welcome to Verizon. And you also learned the same basic truth about the BBB. Common mythology seems to persist in the fantasy that they are The Commerce Police or some sort of consumer advocate with representation credentials.

One Talk app didn't WORK !!! IT could only receive calls from Verizon Customers. It put me out of business for 16 Days , costing me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS and ended up Raising my phone bill about 30% Costing me even more money. Also lost my personal Phone number into Never Land

Very Poor Customer Service

This is the worst internet provider that I have ever encountered. I had the unfortunate opportunity to speak with a Mr. Wright, Supervisor from Verizon. I had to wait 6 hours before he even called me back, after speaking to an equally very rude representative by the name of Sheila from the New Jersey Financial Services location. This all began when I contacted Verizon about why they disconnected my services, two times in one month, 8 days between disconnects, and charged me a $50.00 restoration fee each time. I found this practice deceitful and unwarranted. How can such a large company be so desperate to gouge their customers out of $50.00, just to disconnect them to reconnect and steal $50.00. This seems like a conspiracy to rip off the community with these fees. Combined with poor service, lack of empathy, mere unprofessionalism and the inability to make a loyal customer happy, I terminated my account. Mr. Wright, is condescending, rude and insulting. A poor excuse for a Manager. Mr. Wright clearly helped me to not give Verizon $2400. of my money in the years to come. Terrible customer service

Unwanted solicitations at on home from Verizon

I live in Deer park, New York. For the past 3 years, our neighborhood zip 11729,recei es at least 6 visits a year from Verizon sales reps! Although you tell them you are not interested in obtaining any of their services, they still keep coming back! Today, June 23, 2018, they were ringing and knocking on my door this morning! I told the rep to remove us from their list and all he said was that he would try! Very frustrating and annoying! Is Verizon that hard up for customers? Enough is enough!!!

Poor help

I had a consultation with a lawyer who tried to help me in boyfriend's probate case by having me sign form for him to get in writing the timeline for which I paid for shared plan for my boyfriend and myself. He says he is still waiting for the info but it has been almost four months since he told me that this is the route we should take and I know it shouldn't take this long. Even before this, he told me that I shouldn't need a lawyer because I am the account holder & there should be no problem. I have called twice & spoke with a representative with no results. I had already sent an email & got a questionnaire. I don't need a questionnaire. I need results. I have had this account with you all for many years but I may have to switch carriers if my problem isn't resolved. My name is Patricia Bennett & my deceased boyfriend was Marvin J Oakley Sr. The lawyer who I consulted is Lee Daniels. Please get back with me very soon. Time is running out soon. Thanks!

They lied like a rug so I would not cancel

When my 2 year contract expired with Verizon Fios, I called customer service and told them I was going to cancel and go to another provider who was offering more tv channels and faster internet for less money than I was already paying Verizon. I told them if I had to pay one extra cent when my present contract expired, I was leaving. They told me they would keep my same discounts in place for the same price. When my next bill arrived, they had raised my rate another $25 a month. When I called to complain, they said my rate had gone up $25. because I did not have a contract. What do they not understand about "Not another cent" more? Verizon Fios is no longer in my circle of trust. I would have cancelled by now, but my wife sometimes works from home, and did not want take a chance the internet service (which works well) might be disrupted if we switch providers. So to keep my wife happy, I will stay with Verizon until the final day my wife works. Counting the days down until her upcoming retirement.

Lies lies lies

Its been a few days since dealing with customer service at Verizon and i feel like my experience is literally eating at me! I am so upset i cant/wont stop untill i get the agents name who was so rude! I signed up for Verizon because i heard great things. Customer service, and that their wireless plans were unbeatable. A lot pricier than the other carriers but worth it. So i walked in and behold- a samsung 8 bogo promo. At that time, the sales clerk told me that they only had 1 phone left and that it was out of stock. Mind you, they didnt even bother to tell me, "hey we dont have it in stock but you can come back tomorrow or next week or whatever". Its not my fault you dont have it in stock! So what they offered was an s8 plus and ASSURED me that they would consider that as part of the promo. So i walked out of the store with my husband having the s8 and i the plus. FAST FORWARD to 3 months later- Because i recieve my bill in my emails i havent really looked at it untill now. What do you expect millennials to do?! Everything is done online! So looking at the bill i saw that i was being charged for BOTH PHONES!! And the promo they promised? They ended up just charging me the s8 rate for the plus instead of the BOGO. So here's where Verizon failed to keep me as a customer. I called customer service and the first agent i talked to was superb. She understood where i was coming from and managed to help me understand the process of getting the issue resolved. Unfortunately, the call was dropped and i didn't receive a phone call after that, but a text message saying to call the next available agent and tell them to read my notes. The next time i called, it was with an AGENT NAMED MATT. Why are you even in customer service??!! Speaking with this agent was so frustrating. No sense of help or empathy for my concerns! All he said were lies and all i felt he wanted to do was to get me off the phone! And the best part Verizon? Was this agent was able to give up on a paying customer and lose you business. He stated that theres nothing that he can do and that im actually lucky that im getting a discount thats saving me hundreds of dollars????! How does that address my concern??! So i asked to speak to a manager and he puts me on hold. Comes back and he is now a supervisor!!! Asked to speak to someone above him and he states that, that was not possible. And again literates about the hundreds that im saving. At this point my blood is boiling and asked for his name. He gives me his first so i asked for his last name. The response? "I dont feel comfortable telling you that" Im screaming. I ask for his managers name and i get a CHRIS. So he had someone above him but he couldnt transfer me? At this point i could care less about Verizon. So i told him i wanted to cancel my account right now and i dont care what fees i have to pay just cancel the damn thing. Verizon his response? He gave me the total of what i would have to pay without skipping a beat. With no sense of customer recovery and with no last attempts to help me at all. Thankfully i didnt just jump the bullet and wasted more money with your company. I am making a smarter move to switch back to TMOBILE who i stayed with for years. Why i even bothered to switch over to Verizon in the first place i have no idea. I will never forget my horrendous experience with your company and i will make sure to share that with my friends and family who have your carrier. Thanks to your agents like MATT who is uncomfortable sharing his last name.

Be careful with any cell phone store because many are contractors or authorized dealers. They are not actual company employees. There could be quality issues from employee turnover or franchise owner training and supervision policies.

Beware the Unlimited Plan

"Unlimited" means something completely different to Verizon than it's common usage. It is merely a marketing catch phrase. The use of the word Unlimited, in Verizon's lexicon is nothing but a big fat lie. You will be limited. Your allotment will be exhausted in a couple days if not a matter of hours. (eg: streaming video eats your "Unlimited" bandwidth allowance up in a few hours) The reps lie to get you to sign up. They lie not only about the meaning of the word Unlimited, but also about the features, performance and prices of both plans and equipment. Then the real fun begins [NOT] when you find out you are, in fact, very limited, and they try to tell you the Verizon definition of the word "Unlimited". LoLz! Avoid this shyster outfit at all costs.

Stop screaming with the all capital letter format ; it is annoying and difficult to read. Anybody who does business with Verizon had better watch out for poor service, high prices, uninformed employees, arrogance, and plenty of outages and hidden charges.
