Nasty rep named Alfonso. Two land lines that we have been paying an arm and a leg for since about 1998. One has static only. One has dial tone and lots of noise on the line. Called Verizon customer service line 5 days in a row, about 10 attempts each day from the one with the dial tone. Verizon genie will only connect me to moving services. Finally get a rep by pretending I want to move, having moving services connect me to tech support/repairs. On the phone comes Alfonso. Tells me there is a lot of noise on the line--no *** sherlock, that is why I am calling. Tells me he can't help me until he has a look at the details of the plans for both lines. What this means is I have to try to let him sell me fios. I do this, then explain to him, as I have explained 10 times to other Verizon reps, that it is copper wire and DSL or else I am calling the cable company because our street is pre-wired for cable, not for fios. Gets really nasty, tests two lines, has to call me back on my cell phone to test the line I called him on. Tells me both lines test with shorts. Meantime every other word on my cell phone is inaudible and he starts asking crazy questions about fences and gates. I can't understand what he is asking so I can't answer. He tells me because I am not answering he cannot create repair tickets. He is speaking with an accent and too fast, and with the cell phone dropping out there is no way I can know what he is asking. Finally he creates repair tickets for about a week from now. Seriously? When I ask to speak with supervisor, he says if I do that he will refuse to submit repair tickets. I am now on hour 3 for today, hour 10 overall trying to reach Verizon. So, I let him make me beg him to put in the repair tickets. After I do that I tell him I would still like to get in touch with customer service. Remember, I cannot contact Verizon except through the genie and by telling the genie I am moving, which I am not. I tell him I want customer service because I want a credit on my accounts for two phone lines that are not working and have not been working for some time and will not be working for some time because Verizon cannot be bothered to make repairs. They can only be bothered to take our money. He gives me the same Verizon number that I have called about 200 times in the past week. He is useless, Verizon is a pack of thieves. I really hope this company fails big time and that workers like Alfonso get what they deserve. Oh, and after this phone call, I got an email from Verizon suggesting that everything will be better if I use the FiOs App to contact them. Hey jerks, I dont have FiOs! I am not only going to cancel my two landlines, I am going to cancel my Verizon cell phones as well. Then I am going to switch my parents off of Verizon, then I am going to switch my parents in law off of Verizon. This is a company with zero respect for its customers.
