Business and Residential don't talk

This happend in 2014, but I doubt much has changed. I had residental internet and needed to upgrade to business so that I could have a static IP address (my wife was working at home at the time). I scheduled to have residential turned off and business turned on at specific dates. But, Verizon decided to disconnect my residential service before the requested date. When I contacted them, they stated they could not turn it back on because they needed a work order and it would take several days. My wife now has no access to the internet which meant she could not work. Eventually I asked if they could start the business service early - yes, they could, and did. I had to find the solution, not them. Now, several years later, my wife is retired and we want to go from business to residential. Verizon will not let me out of my automatically renewed 2-year term to change to residential, even though I am going to sign a 2-year residential contract. So, I wait until a month before the contract ends to contact Verizon to ensure the business service does not get automatically renewed. The auto-renew was a blurb on the statement - does anyone really read these? I know you think I must be crazy to stay with Verizon, but I hate Comcast more than Verizon. Wish me luck!

Verizon - Rip-Off
Noticed on my bill a line that says "Verizon Surcharge" $5.30. I go back a few montgs and the charge is $1.93 and $2.78 etc etc. I call and inquured what this is is. I am told that it is a charge to go into a store. WHAT!?!? They CHARGE to go into their store??? Awe *** NO!! They dont TELL you about these CHARGES and the amount is random. I called the Ohio State Attorney General's Office and filed a complaint. CHECK your bills for unauthorized charges. Verizon is a RIP-OFF!!!

New boxes don’t work- can’t get customer services

Verizon installed the new boxes & they don’t work. Raining, they go out, Light rain, volume goes up & down, tv’s freeze for no reason, some channels change to Spanish on own. 1 box is wireless, that one never works. They send a signal, it works then goes out 10 minutes later. Can’t get through to customer service in the last few days. Had 6 boxes in one location. Technician said they put them out without testing them enough.

"Verizon" ( a senseless, made-up committee name ) is perhaps the single greediest company I've ever encountered. They charge more for less than any other enterprise I have yet to encounter ; eclipsed possibly only by one of my medical providers whose time is billed at $175 for 15 minutes.

I hate Verizon's red colors, their website, the cost, and their endless griping beginning with payment due date. I don't have their product, but my wife and kids (adults) do - their rates are outrageous for something that is handled entirely by machine and computer.

Billing

I signed up for auto pay with Verizon in May 2019. First bill was paid with one debit card, and they were authorized to automatically deduct future bills from a different account. However, when I check my statement from PFCU it reflected the payment of $79.99 for June 2019, and yet another payment of $159.98 on June 30, 2019, from a different debit card, when the bill is not due until July 28, 2019. I tried to contact Verizon but that was joke. How can they charge for three months when in reality is two. Obviously they do not care about the consumer, especially seniors.

It was a horrible idea to turn to "automatic pay". Rule 1 : automatic things automatically foul up.

Why you would trust the greediest, least ethical company in the world with free access to your account ? Cut them off now and examine each bill when you receive it.

Pay only that amount (if correct) and keep fastidious records. These people are not to be trusted - whether you're a senior or anyone else who doesn't wish to be robbed blind.

Bad experience at store 3963 Lavista Rd. Tucker,GA 30093

On June 16th,2019 we went to Verizon store located at “3963 Lavista Road, Tucker, GA 30084” to add a new line to our existing plan and I bought a ‘Motorola G7’ phone, sealed in the box, for the new line. The representative ‘Shazi’ attended us. After coming home, the new phone didn’t ring till next day and for about 48 hours the new phone didn’t work properly, and I missed all the calls and messages. I missed my phone Interview for a new job too. Then on June 18th,2019 at about 5.30PM, I went back to the above-mentioned store, and two African American girls attended me. I explained my problem and requested to switch the phone. They argued that the problem was due to “do not disturb” feature as it is on, however, when they checked it the “do not disturb” feature was not making any difference whether it is on or off even then they kept on arguing that phone is OK, and asked me to pay $50 to switch the phone. I refused to pay as phone was defective, but they didn’t agree, and their behavior was rude and unexplainable. The asked them that I want to talk SHAZI, who attended us on first day, then told something to her and after waiting for about 30 minutes SHAZI talked to me and said that SIM card is defective. She went to another counter and while talking with another female representative, she pretended as if she is changing the SIM, but she never changed it which I was watching continuously from a distance. She cheated me In- *** front of my eyes, and when I asked for the old SIM she laughed and said that she threw it and said that phone is working properly. I had no choice but to accept the phone. After reaching home I faced the same problem. I called Verizon Customer service and talked to an agent. The agent told me that he has endorsed everything in the system and had waived off $50 charges too. He further told me to go to the concerned store and switch the hone and assured me that there will be no $50 charge. Again, next day (June 19th,2019) my brother went to the concerned store at around 12.30PM and talked to them but their behavior was still the same and they refused to waive off the $50. When my brother agreed and asked to switch the phone with an ‘iPhone 6 plus’, the representative took out two ‘iPhone 6 plus from the boxes but both came out to be defective in-front of everyone. This proves that store is keeping defective phones and when customer complains they are asking $50 for stocking or something, I have no idea. The store harassed us at their best. Ultimately, on their terms and conditions, we paid $50 unnecessarily and had to upgrade the phone for which we are paying more money. This is the horrible story of Verizon customer service and their store service located at 3963 Lavista Road, Tucker, GA 30084.

Just another attempted greedy ploy by a company that can only be described as sinful in their business practices. I loathe and despise them ; I do not own or operate any of their products ; unfortunately my wife and offspring fell neatly into their trap despite repeated warnings from (an older, wiser) me ...

never, ever trust anything Verizon says, offers, etc. - and whatever you do stay out of their "retail outlets" which are simple fronts for price gouging.

Phone Paid Off But Bill Didn't Go Down

I was paying $65 a month for my phone. $10.00 of that per month was for my phone installment which was $10.00 for 24 months. When I paid off the phone, I figured my bill would go down to $55 a month. The service rep stated that I was receiving a discount that covers the device payment charge. Thus my bill was staying the same. It seems ridiculous that my monthly bill is the same irregardless if the phone is paid off or not. So basicly we are paying as if the phone is a contract. You still pay the same amount when the phone is paid off.

Expensive suspicious call charge

A month ago I noticed a suspicious 27 minute call costing almost $65 on my Verizon bill to a number in the United Arab Emirates. I immediately chatted online with a rep at Verizon who said they'd have that charge removed. After a week, it was still there, so I chatted again, and again they said they'd remove it. A week later, I noticed it was still there and chatted again. To make a long story short. It took 4 communications before I was given a refund. Deplorable service on the part of Verizon

5 Hard Checks done on the same day

Just to let you know that VeriZon in Bellingham WA ran 5 credit checks on the same day and I believe it was deliberate or incompetence or both ..Contacted Head Office to get that resolve and nothing happened. Be aware if you deal with Verizon

Overcharge and lie

switched providers. 2 of my phones were supposed to transfer over. 1 did and they said give them a few days to make it work. he gave them several days and finally gave up. he went and got the phone that is supposed to be free when you switch and port in a line. he was charged full retail price and device upgrade fee. he already paid for activation fee. we are on an unlimited plan. we aren't able to use it as a hotspot. we ran speedtest on our phones. we are supposed to have 4G. my speedtest is .04mbps. and once .06 mbps. overcharge, try to get more money and lie

Trying To Close Out An Account

I have been trying since April to close out an old Verizon account. I have been given a run around and nobody has helped me. Their people are either incompetent or stupid. I have approached a consumer protection agency. I will never do business with Verizon again. All they are interested in is screwing people out of money.

Verizon lies cheats and steals

Bought a home phone in April2019. It never worked I brought it back to the store every day sometimes twice a day to have it fixed. It never worked at all so I returned all the equipment in the meantime Verizon took 140.00 out of my checking account.They said they would refund the money but never did.I have been having serios health issues and needed an ambulance one night, I could not dial 911 I live in a rural area, I had to lay on the floor for several hours until my neighbor came over. I want my money back.

Dropped Wi-Fi . . . unacceptable -- but STILL charged a fee when I cancelled.

I have been a Verizon Fios customer for over 10 years. Extensive services -- home phone, high speed internet, and full cable. Called to inform them that my Wi-Fi was spotty at best, and that I'd like to have it fixed. Was told there was nothing they could do about it. So I changed services, and when I called to cancel, was told I would have to pay an early termination fee. Escalated to a manager -- Kim -- who was a bit rude and condescending, but bottom line was that she indicated they don't guarantee Wi-Fi and that she couldn't waive the fee. I'm extremely frustrated. Cancelling either way -- but will inform anyone who is interested that Fios is not a service you should subscribe to. You can do better.
