Poor internet services

I pay close to $200.00 per month for internet services and for the past four months I rarely can get online. Get the message unable to connect to server. When I talked with a representative I was told it was congestion do to living so far from the tower. I find it odd that this problem just started getting where I can not get on line at all and have to use my phone to pay bills and read emails. I need this problem resolved. Verizon doesn't hesitate to charge me a late fee when payment is one day late.

I have attempted to contact other providers in the area and was informed that I have a provider in my area so would not be cost effective for them to provide service to me. I have noticed an improvement once Verizon has stopped 5G service instillation. Verizon does discriminate against rural areas

Caller ID shows a different name

I left Metro PCS after 7 years due to their "upgrade" on Metro Caller ID System bumped my name off and another name showed up when I call people. They could not fix it, so I went to Verizon ,who ported my same phone number from Metro and it shows a the same name (other than mine) on Caller ID too. I have been to their stores 3times, reported to Customer Service 4times and they say a Network service change work order has been made out 2times, Verizon said 24-48 Hours and my name would display when I call someone. 8days later, same problem. They do not care enough to fix this and I lost a $22,000.00 job because my client wouldn't answer my call, it said a different name on Caller id. She then called my boss and said she gave her job to a Competitor because I never called. I almost got fired and lost $300.00 commission because Verizon Network Operations can't or won't do their job and store reps. Calied, they tried to help but cannot seem to get this fixed either. I cannot change my number. Worst Customer Service I have ever seen and as a former GTE Mobilnet Employee (now Verizon Wireless), I would have list my job treating a customer the way I have been treated. If I lose my job over this, I will sue Verizon AND Metro PCS.

Charged for service after cancellation

Unfortunately Verizon has poor internal coordination of their customer service. After cancelling the service and paying an early termination fee, the company continued to bill for services that I no longer used. After spending nearly 3 hours cancelling the service, I had to spend nearly another hour making sure that Verizon did not charge for services after the initial cancellation. No apologies were made. And this was done at a Verizon store over the phone with customer service since store employees do not have access to this information. It seems that Verizon is eager to get customers, but once they try to leave, they don't bother putting in the same effort to make sure that customers are taken care of. Was thinking of possibly getting Verizon service in the future since they seem to have the best cell phone reception, but after this fiasco, I will be looking elsewhere for service.

Internet installation never happened & poor customer service

I had scheduled a 5G Home internet installation from 1-3pm on a weekend since I work every day (and some weekends as well). At first I has confirmation that they accepted the installation schedule and it was showing up on my account that we had scheduled installation. I waited from 1-3 pm. 3pm passes and 4:30 pm passes. I called customer service to complain and they rescheduled me for the following weekend at 9-11am. This time I did NOT get any confirmation that this was scheduled. I called in customer service on Friday night to make sure that this installation was actually happening. But NO ONE at customer service chat could help me confirm. (I was also on the phone trying to get a real person to talk to but was just fed to a continuous stream of music and automated options.) I was transferred 4 times via chat at which point I was very frustrated and had to complain about the situation and just wanted to cancel my installation because nothing seemed organized. The lady helping me in the Verizon chat service came back with "I will have to transfer you to customer care. I can't help you with cancellations!" Then she gave me an automated message with a link to forward me, again, to customer care, but of course that didn't work. Finally, a gentleman who was staying calm while I was frustrated (which I do appreciate) gave me a phone number to call. However, it was outside business hours for that service phone number. Basically, I had to get up at 6:30am to call Verizon service at 7am for a service that they did not even show up for in the first place and did NOT confirm or follow up for the rescheduled date. I had to do it early because if they were still coming, it was scheduled for 9am. I simply asked if anyone can help me confirm if this was on the schedule during the customer service chat and their response was "NO". I then simply wanted to just cancel this installation as a whole, but of course they COULD NOT help me even cancel this. Well... how could they cancel something that they can't even confirm if an installation is scheduled or not?

Have had " Unlimited hotspot for 2 years " Keeps getting throttled worse each day . One of the WORSE companies around ! If I had another option I would use it !!

Bait and switch

They gave a tiny bit but i have been baited and switched from the first phone call (and I've had to call many times in the one month I've been with Verizon). What I will be paying is NOTHING like the sales rep told me on the phone when she sold me the plan. She even texted back and forth with me until the deal was sealed but when I started having problems and things not being as she said, she ghosted me. She told me she'd send boxes for my returns; never came. Called and spoke with a rep that took all the info from my phones and said boxes were on the way; never came. Called a third time about boxes and was told that the only way to send back phones was online by printing a label and supplying my own boxes. It's all just a rip off to get to charge you more on the first bill. I wanted to switch providers but unfortunately I bought phones through Verizon so I'm screwed. I was with ATT for 20 years. Should have stayed. Verizon is WORSE! I'll be copying this and posting it everywhere I can.

Many are dropping Verizon FIOS. I have had them for 5 years.

The first year they treat you like royalty. The gift card they give you as a "free gift" is not free. Review every time they raised your bill while you were under contract. Oh the equipment is not under contract they tell you so that is where they keep raising your bill.

But no one tells you that when you sign up. The bs three month free HBO or whatever. Not free. If you don't get it removed from your bill they start charging you.

They get you with all these offers for "free" that last for 3 months or 6 months or whatever and then they start charging you when you forget to remove the service which is exactly what they anticipated. Now how many with bill pay just don't look at their bill every month and Verizon knows this. I'm done with them. My contract ends in October and I'm gone.

As are many others I have spoken with. Verizon sucks.

Little or no internet service on 2 lines in our house

We’ve been having problems with internet service for the last 3 years and had multiple techs come to the house all saying different things. The last 4 techs said the wiring out side was fixed. We had another tech come last week and said the wires are shot and should’ve been replaced years ago. Have been running an average speed of 4 MBS on one line and no internet on the other line for a month. Been over a week and they still haven’t fixed it and still have to wait another day. Got a 7.20 discount on the bill. We pay our bills on time monthly and over 300 bucks a month for phone, internet and cell.

It appears Verizon has been unable to fix the problem(s) with no solution in sight. Paying over $300 a month for the kind of service you have been getting is rather silly, don't you think?

It's time to find a different provider, at least for the phone and internet service. Verizon's cell phone service is good, but why pay for internet and phone service that is no good?

I get good help is hard to find

Having problems with my iPhone connecting on anything I own. Went to the Westfield Verizon store thinking I would buy new. Mine is old. Two gentlemen were sitting behind the counter with no one else in the showroom . I explained my problem and wanted to know what options I have. The guy doesn't leave his chair. I set my phone down on the counter and say it won't pair with anything sometimes. He looks over the phone and finally gets out of his chair and walks over to pair it with a speaker they have. I hear the chime and he says It works fine It must be your truck. I can pair my Wife's phone when my phone will not. It doesn't connect with anything I own. He says I don't know what to tell you. I think its your truck. I went in this store to buy a phone. I left this store without one. And now I have the opportunity to shop. New plan, New service, New opportunity for someone else to get my business. I stopped in from Mowing my Moms Acreage and I was dirty. I think I got profiled. HH Gregg used to do that to me also.

Wow really,

So I ran into the Verizon store in fair oaks mall to get a charger. (I’m traveling and mine went bad). Found what I wanted but it was locked to the wall. Ok. Went to a guy sitting at a checkout, he wanted to sign me in to get waited on. ( REALLY, he couldn’t just unlock it and ring me up!) I I walked out and into the ATT store right next door. I hadn’t crossed the threshold when an employee asked, “ you need a charger?” (They must be ease dropping on Verizon). Long story short, in and out in under 3 min with a charger!

Terrible

Joined Verizon bundle. Within the first four months had seven problems required remote tech service and three on-site repairs. TV locked up. Could not turn off. Had to unplug Tv. in order to turn off. Lost dial tone on land line phone for two days. Lost all access to internet on computer. Informed that the wiring they had installed was loose. Repaired. Then next visit they replaced the entire box they installed. Problems continue. They offered $50.00 refund but I do not need a refund. I NEED RELIABLE SERVICE.

Verizon sucks

Thanks for threatening me every month with shutoff. My payday sometimes does not jive with billing date even after changing date. Been a customer for a very long time and purchased many items. But if i dont pay my bill you cant make payroll or keep the lights on? You need better customer service period. Im tired of calling every month about something ie double billing, making arraingments for a couple of days because a long time customer who always pays there bill might runoff. You should pay me my fees for having to hassle with you every month. I just need to decide do i go with xfinity or visible for 40 dollars a month an save 115 per month. Yah the customer service is probly lousy but i get that now and pay for premium service. Thats a joke

Horrible, sketchy liars!

I admit, i only switched to verizon for the free phone.. (GS4 never loved a phone like this before or since). But my price started creeping up because of fees no one could explain. After about a year, id had enough. And switched over to MetroPCS the S4 is a global phone and compatible. And it was, except i couldnt send text i could send mms but not sms, i could recieve text but not respond. Also could see i recieved voicemail, but couldnt retrieve it. These settings were grayed out. Tforce said phone was locked, verison maintained that it was not. after several days of going back and forthbetween verison tech support, and Tforce i got them on a 3 way call. They went back and forth, and nothing was resolved. I had clients who had pay as you go phones pissed at me for sending them mms's and others angry because they were leaving me urgent voicemails that i was "ignoring" finally, in exasperation I bought a *** GJ3 prime. My S4 is in mint condition, if anyone has a T mobile S4 ill be more than happy to trade. As old as the S4 is, its still superior to this J3 prime. I will never, ever, deal with verisonn again.

I have been a continuous loyal customer since 2014. I called financial services to set up a promise to pay. I needed it to be ONE extra day over what their system "allowed". I have been dealing with extenuating circumstances. The agent was incredibly rude, talking more like squawking over me, not listening to a damn word I was saying. She put me on hold to recycle my call back into waiting. I spoke with a second agent, and she was just as terrible and unhelpful. I asked to speak to her supervisor and this JERK LITERALLY HUNG UP ON ME! Seriously!? You are going to hang up on the customer that was not swearing or belligerent, that is pathetic.

Instead of signing a contract with Verizon, one should go the route of prepaid cellular. No contracts, fewer headaches and a lot of saved money!

Just type cellular service in my area and use the interactive maps that you will find on these sites to find who has the best service in your area. All the prepaid services use one of the four big company towers. If you have Verizon now, then think about trying Total Wireless prepaid. For about $60 (taxes included) a month you get the Verizon network and 25 GB data and no overages, just your speed is reduced from 4G to 2G.

One site you should take a look at is called Clarkdeals. He is a consumer helper in getting the customer the best deals on many products and services.

No service complaints

Calls to company keeps looping to put info in. Put info in directs me to call back. Can’t get help. Have to reset my service almost daily. Sometimes more than once a day. Online help directs me to a blank screen. Even requests that I download the app, which I am using in the first place
