Billing

I was in the military 10 Years. Verizon not once after so many calls I can't count. Never gave me my discount. I want that money. I also wanna know why I used my freedupgrade and my phone went up 400$. I've managed my account online always. Then I go to the Pekin, Illinois store once and Aric. Spelled with an A. Decides to sign me up for services without informing me of how much they cost. now I'm stuck in a pandemic lockdown because no one knows how to wash their hands and I'm facing having a phone shut off that I can't afford to pay because someone doesn't know how to do their job.

User's recommendation: Double check every single employees work on your cell phone bill. After 10 years I have yet to have someone successfully do their requested tasks on the first time.

Can't believe them

Verizon told me that my bundle for internet and a lan line was the cheapest out there at $90/mo but I found one for $30/mo. They kept renewing me for 3 years; lying every time I asked if there was a lower rate. Thank God my sister told me of someone else. Verizon stole $1200 from me over 2 years. Shocked

Just another attempted greedy ploy by a company that can only be described as sinful in their business practices. I loathe and despise them ; I do not own or operate any of their products ; unfortunately my wife and offspring fell neatly into their trap despite repeated warnings from (an older, wiser) me ...

never, ever trust anything Verizon says, offers, etc. - and whatever you do stay out of their "retail outlets" which are simple fronts for price gouging.

Expensive suspicious call charge

A month ago I noticed a suspicious 27 minute call costing almost $65 on my Verizon bill to a number in the United Arab Emirates. I immediately chatted online with a rep at Verizon who said they'd have that charge removed. After a week, it was still there, so I chatted again, and again they said they'd remove it. A week later, I noticed it was still there and chatted again. To make a long story short. It took 4 communications before I was given a refund. Deplorable service on the part of Verizon

Dropped Wi-Fi . . . unacceptable -- but STILL charged a fee when I cancelled.

I have been a Verizon Fios customer for over 10 years. Extensive services -- home phone, high speed internet, and full cable. Called to inform them that my Wi-Fi was spotty at best, and that I'd like to have it fixed. Was told there was nothing they could do about it. So I changed services, and when I called to cancel, was told I would have to pay an early termination fee. Escalated to a manager -- Kim -- who was a bit rude and condescending, but bottom line was that she indicated they don't guarantee Wi-Fi and that she couldn't waive the fee. I'm extremely frustrated. Cancelling either way -- but will inform anyone who is interested that Fios is not a service you should subscribe to. You can do better.

Verizons says I owe money for renewal, turned me over to collection agency!

After receiving another letter from the collection agency, so mad that this is not resolved. I called Verizon one more time and reviewed my issue with them.

The rep was very nice and understood my frustration, but said they couldn't/wouldn't do anything to help me.

This online policy shouldn't be allowed, I'm sure other people have made the same mistake. They had to pay the price or watch their credit go down the tubes.

After 3 years with Verizon all my discounts were ending. I went up online to see if I could keep Verizon and lower my bill. I hit the button that signed me up for another contract. There is NO reverse button so I've made several phone calls trying to reverse the signup and they say I'm responsible for early termination charge of $350. They are worst than a loan shark. They have turned me over to a collection agency who want $270. from me. I'm so tired of big business pushing the little guy around. I have no recourse?

Cutting Off Copper Line Service If I Don't Switch to Fiber

I had an issue with my copper line phone after a severe storm. After 10 days and their finally sending a competent service tech the issue was resolved. Now I received a letter from Verizon telling me that if I don't switch to fiber by 6/17/19 they will be disconnecting my service. Since I also have DSL through them, it says my internet service will also stop working, but I could switch to Fios at a "Special Rate" that may be "Lower or Higher" than what I currently pay. No where does it say how much it will cost me to switch my internet service to Fios, I'm sure some type of wiring will be necessary. In 37 years this was the first time I had an issue with my phone, I'm really annoyed with this tactic of forcing me to switch just because I had a service call. So now I have a little over a month to either switch to fiber or my other alternative is to have my phone and internet switched to Optimum.

Poor customer service

The reps are unfamiliar with the products that Verizon is selling. They are rude and unprofessional, especially on the weekend shifts. They absolutely suck. Their automated service is even worse.

Have not been able to access my plan details online for over a YEAR

I have not been able to access the 'My Plan' section of verizon.com for over a year now. I am able to get logged in successfully and I can use all the other features of the website but when I click on 'My Plan' I get the error below. I have called in many times and get the run around. I have an E-Center ticket open but nobody has either fixed it or called me back (as I've requested many times)!!! If they called, they didn't leave a message so how could I call back? What am I supposed to do, site by the phone waiting for them? VERIZON YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. I even have a log file from my browser that shows the error occurring and would like allow a tech to fix it it on their website. However, when I told the agent I have it, they said 'we don't take files from customers'! This is surely not a way to keep customers! Especially when other companies (e.g. Comcast) is willing to pay my early termination fee for me so I lose nothing for changing to them and saving about $80/ month!! COME ON VERIZON, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND FIX THIS PROBLEM ALREADY! As of the writing of this review, the only thing I have received from Verizon was that I "have to wait for it to be resolved". It's been OVER A YEAR! The error I've received for over a year now (note: I'm not trying to place an order just look at my current plan): Please contact the Verizon Local Business Office We're Sorry, we're unable to continue your order at this time. Can't cancel service

On 4/24/18 I discovered our home phone service was not working. awe have not had a dial tone since. I have repeatedly called Verizon customer service and the repair dept. They sent a repair tech out on 4/26/18. The tech informed us it was a problem with a phone pole at the end of our street. Since that time customer service has tried to pressure us to get FIOS. As we rearely use the home phone, we decided to cancel the service. I have tried to cancel the service several times, but it has not been cancelled. I know Verizon is going to make me pay for the service even though we have not had a dial tone at least since 4/24/18. I am now considering cancelling our 2 Verizon wireless phones. This is horrible customer service.

As far as the billing if they don't credit you I would report them to the state regulatory authorities or BBB.Had trouble getting our landline service disconnected when they told us let them install fiber equipment or find another company. Almost a year of phone calls, letters and door to door sales people.

We get new service and company and it takes them 10 days to disconnect the phone.As the final deadline approached the neighborhood was littered with cable tv and dish companies. Not too many Verizon trucks.

Verizon charges even after you die

My 95 yo mother moved to an Assisted Living Community after more than a decade of being a Verizon customer. We needed to cancel the cable, but keep the phone while the house was on the market. FACT: if you move or DIE, you still get hit with the fee. My entire family is switching.
