Completely pissed of with Verizon international service

My son is right now in Turkey and he has no service. Even so we were told he will not get an issue. Never ever I experienced something like that with another carrier. I was with Sprint it worked always so perfect. I switched to Verizon because I was told it has a better coverage which also not true, we experience the same coverage issue like with Sprint. So for 2 days I am on the phone for hours waiting somebody to answer. then I tried live chat same issue. Yesterday from 10 am till 11 pm I tried to solve it. I was always loosing connection then I had to repeat again and agian the same issue I have. And I had to tell every one that their troubleshooting solutions we tried and it does not work. Today we went to the shop because we could not reach anybody on the phone, of course the shop just gave us the same number we were trying anyway. Then finally I got somebody on the phone for international support then in the middle of our discussion we were disconnected and could never be connected again. So right now, I paid for international data and I have no service. I keep telling he has no service they keep asking me if he received the text message. I will certainly not continue to work with such a carrier what a big disappointment. I would not mind to immediately switch back to Sprint but my son needs his American number to get text message for his banking etc. A complete disaster. And if the phone is gone while you are talking of course nobody call you back and impossible to reach somebody again. I am so angry I could cry. I woke this morning went to Verizon first thing in the morning, The came back insolved and I am on the phone and live message trying to catch one or the other. It's actually 2:47 and still waiting. On top I have paid 55 for no service !

Phone was broken and can not no longer use

My phone can longer be used. It is no longer be used I need a new phone ASAP. I need to speak to someone that can help me get another one. I can be reached at 337-476-****. Verizons customer service is horrible!!! Why is Verizon the only phone service stores closed for customer service? I had to go to a Sprint store to get a new phone cord for my truck and home! It is just bad business. As soon as my contract is over I will be leaving Verizon.

You don’t even want to hear. Just turn in the other direction and run. The absolutely don’t give a *** about customer service. It’s only an issue when things go wrong and then...well you have heard nightmare stories so just know that is what you will get from Verizon. They simply don’t give a *** about problems and you cannot solve issues because virtual chat or GOD WILLING a live person will simply tell you “sorry the system does not allow me to do that” or I will need to transfer you to another party and that is code for “I am going to put you on hold for about a half an hour and then guess what?...your call gets dropped!

Discrimination

Discrimination of it being able to wear a mask. Not only was I harassed but they asked to watch me put a mask on as if I was a child.

Charging for worthless Feature

Took out Total Equipment Coverage on new phone, which covers lost/stolen equipment. Finished paying the 24 months to totally own phone. Did not notice that they continued to charge me $11.00 a month for TEC. Even though they consider phone of no value after 24 months, Verizon continued to charge TEC CHARGE. I called about it and was told that was a FEATURE and the could not, on their own, remove a FEATURE. The FEATURE has no value if 24 months, but they continued to charge. BEWARE IF YOU TAKE OUT THE COVERAGE TOTAL EQUIPMENT COVERAgE, it becomes worthless after 24 months, but they will continue to charge until you tell them to Remove their WORTHLESS FEATURE. Just another way to RIP OFF CUSTOMERS

Unauthorized Debit

Im writing regarding Verizon withdrawing $736.02 from my checking account after I returned the phone within the 14 days to try the phone and service. I only used the phone for 3 days. The phone was in pristine condition, and at the time, I asked the representative (Travis Pierce) for a receipt and he said We dont give receipts. You have to contact Customer Service at 1-80*-922-****. I asked again for some note, receipt or invoice indicating I returned the phone WITH NO DAMAGE in its condition from the factory. I only used the phone for a few days and decided it wasnt a phone I wanted. So again I asked for something to prove that I returned the phone. He (Representative Travis Pierce) told me customer service will refund all of your money since youre not on a contract. He looked over the phone and noted that it was in factory condition. He further stated my refund would come from Verizon in the mail. I then left the store feeling uneasy because, having worked in a customer service environment, I know a receipt of some kind is needed to get a refund. And sure enough, I have a debit (unauthorized on my Associated Bank checking account) for a phone I returned and NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT. Today, 08/03/2020 I received a letter from Loss Prevention, at my bank , (SEE BELOW) needed information: CONFIRMATION THE PRODUCT(S) RECEIVED FROM THE ABOVE MERCHANT HAS BEEN RETURNED. CONFIRMATION INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO: METHOD OF RETURN. CONFIRMATION INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO, METHOD OF RETURN, DATE OF RETURN, AND RETURN CONFIRMATION NUMBER (OR A PHOTO COPY OF THE RETURN SHIPPING LABEL., and that OUR RECORDS INDICATE THE TRANSACTION WAS AUTHORIZED; THEREFORE, WE HAVE DETERMINED AN ERROR DID NOT OCCUR. I am very dissatisfied with Verizon and my bank that more wasnt done to get my money back. I realize my bank didnt or couldnt get a receipt because I had a hard time too; however, I spent 3 hours on the phone with Verizon and ALSO drove to Verizon, demanding some kind of invoice. Today, (on the phone) the Verizon Customer Service Representative, Earl @ 3:06pm, and another colleague of his, submitted necessary documentation, including the fact that Verizon needs to give a refund this unauthorized debit, and to give receipts showing item, cost, date, condition of device, etc. to the customer.

Apparent breakdown in service

My internet died on the evening of Thursday, July 30. It took 1 1/2 days of calls to Verizon to restore some functionality. Websites finally loaded so slowly that they seemed to be knitted out rather than transmitted. By this morning (Saturday, Aug. 1) I am up to what I can call "crochet speed", still artisanal rather than electronic. Verizon has severely curtailed its customer service, forcing the public to endure hours-long waits with frequent disconnects. Tech support did an hour's worth of tests on my line, telling me the problem not only stemmed from a Verizon server outage; it also resulted from Verizon failing to give me even the level of speed that I have been paying for. Tech promised a) to add its test notes to my account file and b) to require Customer Service to increase my speed to an efficient level without extra charges. Neither promise got honored by Verizon.

User's recommendation: Go elsewhere for phone and internet service if you can.

IPhone 7 performance

They sold me to 7s as the very best upgrade for my SE and 5. I am heavy user. Worse performing phone I have ever had. I went on line and they reset it. Big hassle and still functions at about 85% of my past Iphones and the battery has to be charged twice as often. They offered no fix or exchange. After being 20 year satisfied customer I suspect they pushed the defective phones to me as a very good deal because I am over 60. The change over also resulted in months of my plan being over charged and attempts to change my plan to expensive one and over charge for the phone. Hours on the phone to address the issue. Verizon is not who they say they are anymore. Stay away from the iPhone 7. I just received a notice of law suit for intentional performance reduction on these units by Apple. I dont think that was a surprise when they were busy selling it to me last year.

No support for an error made by store and company after having been a loyal customer for years

Horrible! Hard to even know where to begin. Tried to get a local authorized dealer to fix an error made in making an account. Had received a collection notice prior and found out they created an account that I never received bills for. Hours spent there to no avail. Just got the run around and had to hear that it was not an error on their end, but Verizon's. After hours and hours on the phone with Verizon (including a dropped call) also heard from Verizon that it wasn't their fault. It felt like the Twilight Zone. So instead of trying to help me fix it, both tried to give me the run around. MInd you, I asked for a supervisor numerous times to no avail. They did not have my back in the process. Unbelievable. I cannot put into words how horrible this experience has been. Hard to be convinced otherwise when you get a collection notice for $500 plus about something that you didn't know existed. and they do not care. Last note: I am a very patient person, so I do not make this review lightly. I have hit my threshold. I will leave this review every possible place I can.
