Bad Service at Store

Verizon has never contacted me

On 10/16/20 at around 3 p.m. I visited the Verizon store at 499-43 Sunrise Hwy, Patchogue to replace a landline phone-to-modem cord. After waiting outside in the cold and rain (minus jacket) for a long time, the door opened. I asked the staff member for the cord and he said he didn't stock anything like that. When I asked him where I could find one, he said he didn't know. A stranger passing by told me to go to Best Buy. I did so and found the cord. [Note: Best Buy is only a few feet to the north in the same shopping center.]

The New fTV ormat

The new TV format is horrendous. The type size is too small for anyone to read. I have to get up and walk over to the TV screen to do anything. The episode name is larger than the actual program name and it's difficult to find the channel numbers. To set a taping for a few days in the future is almost impossible, because you can't find the days to advance. Whoever came up with the format has excellent distance vision, but is not concerned with persons older than 50. Any way this can be changed from that confusing mess back to the last format?

User's recommendation: if it's not corrected, go to a different TV server.

Tried for hours to contact them. no response.

I have an elderly mother without phone service and have tried for HOURS to contact them and get put on hold for a very long time. I opted THREE times for a call back and they NEVER called back when they said they would.

Calling for support is a nighmare!

First, they try to push you into using an automated system. After holding for 10 minutes of that nonsense, they put you through a seemingly endless maze of automated trials and tribulations including they're assuming you have a TV or internet problem. Then they automatically reset your box and/or router when you haven't reported a problem with either leading to another 15-20 minutes. When you do finally get a live person, they're in the Philippines or India somewhere, and they can't understand half of what you're saying and you get frustrated having to explain the same thing over and over and over again while they STILL don't get what you're trying to say. I've now on been on hold for 40 minutes waiting to speak to a live technician. I only keep Verizon because their technology is better than the rest. My respect for Verizon is sinking fast!

After 40 years as a customer we were not valued

10/07/2020 I was a customer with Verizon for over forty (40) years. When Covid restrictions forced our business to shut down on March 20th, 2020, we were forced to relocate into home environments . To facilitate the crucial time sensitive move, we contacted Verizon to offer a phone solution that would address our business needs in home workspaces. They assured us that they had the perfect solution however after over a month of Verizon's failed attempts to address our needs and much aggravation as a result of incompetent sales people to miss-representation of their capabilities, I was forced to move to another vender who provided the solution that Verizon promised but never was able to deliver. Because we were forced to move to another vendor after forty + years, Verizon's decision was to charge us a early cancellation fee for not staying with them for whatever additional time they said that we had in our contract. Verizon has not only mislead us, wasted valuable time and cost us money as a result of paying for technical support that never yielded the needed results based on the above, Verizon has decided to hold our feet to the fire in the amount of $121.62. We feel because of the size of their company, they feel that no recourse is possible as mentioned by Cassandra Harris- Sefe in the Executive Relations Office and I quote: " nothing will be done because the FTC will only refer it back to us and we will not change our position". Maybe she is assured of the outcome based on her past experience however that won't prevent me for making the attempt. Thank you in advance for your consideration. DWL

Changed program guide

Today Verizon changed their program guide in ways that are infuriating. Twice as many channels shown per screen which means script is much more difficult to read. No consideration for older customers with vision problems. Also, the did away with the color coding for types of programs. Red was used to indicate movies, etc. I am going to become a cord cutter.

I never got service from Verizon wireless I never ported they charged me a whole entire year there was fraud done on my credit card they took it and made it look like Robert Martin they are doing fraud on a visa card that doesnt even work the number doesnt even answer keep the cash app doesnt work Verizon is doing multiple fraudulent things they have reactivated the phone that I had open up just so I could get a call from executive relations they charged me for that they wont give me my credit and theyre trying to say I owe them $799, and I am taking this to court if they do not remove charges and I am calling sharayon

Can no longer get help

Verizon customer service has never been worse. Takes hours to reach a human. Online assistance is confusing and impossible to use. It's no wonder so many people are cutting the cable cord and going to streaming. Even the VZ stores have stopped offering help. Very sad.

Terrible way of dealing with existing customers

Time after time when I've called Verizon every few years to update my service or reduce my subscriptions to save $, it is a long stressful conversation resulting in my paying more $. The customer service agents appear to be tied to the computer with no flexibility. I called to lower my monthly fees by dropping HBO, Shotime and my home phone. As a result, my fees have gone up and after two 90 minute phone calls, both agents said they could not revert to the package I had 7 days ago. This has caused me so much stress as well as huge fights with my husband since despite being assured we wouldn't lose the MLB station, we did. They charge astronomical monthly rental charges for their equipment and dvr service. I have been a customer for 20 years and this is how I have been treated.

Mega company conveniently cannot print reciepts?

Within one week I went into 2 different stores, about an hour from each other. I bought an Apple I phone 8 and accessories at the Lawrence store, no one even helped me take it out of the box, much less helped explain the differences I would experience with moving to Apple products, The printer was not working, so I could not have a receipt. A few days later we went into an Overland Park store to get my elderly mother a land line device. This store also, could Not print off a receipt. Employee may have been new, or just smooth. Later I find out that there is a 2 year commitment on that device for my ELDERLY mother, which I was NOT told. This device never worked properly, to the point it was a dangerous situation for my mother, living alone, who had fallen a couple of times. When I cancelled the device service, they wanted money for the cancellation. They had never sent me a receipt. They got very ugly and turned me into a collection agency for $137.00. They are more into making money than customer service. They were dishonest.

The worst company for customer service and communication

After numerous calls and conversations with Verizon regarding a long standing account I was not able to get any answers. They have increased the prices have an auto call system that cuts you off without options or futs the call with a service rep before anything has been resolved. After 12 years with this company I am done. My time is too valuable to deal with a company that clearly doesn't want my business.too many phone carriers out there to mess with Verizon.t

Verizon won’t fix poor reception /dropped call issues.

They tell me I should buy a signal extender if I want better service but claim it isnt needed. Many dropped calls and no service
