Verizon's Blackberry 8830 worldphone replacement

Purchased a new Blackberry 8830 Worldphone 4.5 months ago. Phone has diligently kept in it's original leather holder and never dropped. Used only 2- times daily. It is pristine. It also has stopped voice prompts with bluetooth. Five different sets have been tried by re-pairing each one and deleting each, resetting digits and rebooting phone. Nothing works. Yes, I do have eight years of electronic education and understand computers, and virtually everything else technical including multi-million dollar medical imaging computers that I use, that most people will only get to see on discovery channel or read about. I think I can master a simple Blackberry. I was offered a replacement by mail with a REFURBISHED one; or spend more money a new one at the Verizon store. Replacing this phone after a mere 4 months? With a REFURBISHED one? What if I told you that your pacemaker that we surgically implanted needs to be replaced (by the way, surgically - again - of course)after four months and we are going to use one that we removed from a dead guy, but we cleaned it up and we will place that in you chest. And we will still bill the usual $45-65,000.00 (Subtotal, including tests and hospitalization). Sounds a little unethical, huh. My three friends; who also own Verizon Blackberry worldphones; and also have PhD's; and incidently have ALSO had problems with their Blackberry worldphone AGREE. ANd I'm sure your reply is: "well that's different". Is it? We are paying for a phone that is at the top of the food chain (as as far as Verizon phone choices go), and more expensive PDA monthly services. We expect the software to work; and we expect to recieve a like-replacement before a year of ownership. So, next time one of you come to see me to fix your heart, I'll make sure we use USED catheters to trace into your heart's vessels, and we'll make sure none of our software is reliable and ALL THE OTHER AMAZING EQUIPMENT used to save your life during the procedures is either kinda working or not. Good plan, huh? You want the really scary part? People actually rely on your phones to get a hold of people like me, to come in as a team of professionals to save people like you. Give that one to your phone engineers. Hopefully we'll see one of them...or maybe not, huh?

Verizon in Tampa, Florida - All I want to do is pay my bill. ...

I ported my Verizon home number to my Verizon Wireless phone. I called Verizon to pay my bill which includes Fios TV & Internet and now they have no record in their Db. Before I can explain the rep sends me to Verizon Wireless and of course they have no clue. ... so I cannot pay my bill. I called my account rep two days ago (Fios assigned one to me) & her sup yesterday and still no call back. So I will wait until my Fios is disconnected and go back to BrightHouse. I am a fVZ employee in Tampa, FL, and am not happy.l

Verizon screws us twice in 9 years

It started when we lived in Washington State, my wife signed up for Verizon wireless and asked at the time if our service would be good when we moved to New York. She was told it was completely transferrable. Well, long story short, it wasn't. Trying to rectify the situation, and no coverage where we moved to (can you hear me now?) she was told by customer service, "you should have thought of that before you moved." When asking to speak to a supervisor, she was told that she could not because there wasn't one available. Also, to add insult to injury, Verizon was the land line company we came home to. When MCI service became available, we switched, after Verizon sucked up MCI, Verizon started to send us promotional offerings if we switched back. Well, we did, and after being over charged for the third month in a row and being told repeatedly that the "promotional " rate would start the following month, I switched to Earthlink digital. Did I mention that Verizon sent promotional DSL information to me and then told me that it was not available at the address they sent the junk mail to?

Verizon in Saint Petersburg, Florida - Customer Service...NOT!

I just spent over 20 minutes trying to get a 'live' person to no avail. I was trying to get thru to someone since they started charging me for DSL service I NEVER ordered. I had spoken with a sales rep about a bundle package, but never ordered it, but yet now I'm being charged for it. What did I do? I called a local # for Bright House (who I already have cable with) and ordered the bundle package from them! How nice it was to get a live person on the line in a minute or 2 and complete my order. Verizon also has an 'unpaid' bill on my credit report that was paid over a year ago and still shows up as being unpaid. *** VERIZON!!!

Verizon has customer service??

I have been trying for three weeks to get high speed internet and phone service installed at my residence. I have been given three different dates of installation, and still nothing. When you call no-one seems to know what is going on, everyone wants to transfer you to someone in India, and all they do is appologize with an accent. My phone service (Hooked up three weeks later, still no DSL) sounds horrible, I can barely hear anyone on the other end and I have to constantly yell to be heard. This is the most unbelievable situation I have ever been in, and the only competition in town wants to rape you for their service.......Screw Verizon, and Comcast.

I have a basic service with Verizon and have no long distance due to using cell phones. My minor child made long distance calls to her friend without my knowledge and 40 calls later I hear from Verizon. My phone bill is close to $1000.00 and they are not helping me at...

Fairpoint + Verizon

I signed a 2 year contract for Verizon Fios about 6 months ago in New Hmapshire. At first i dealt with Verizon until they sold NH, ME contracts to Fairpoint. That is a whole other issue of how bad the service is at Fairpoint...it took be 2 weeks to get someone on the phone to explain how i can pay my bill. The main problem is i am moving back into MA and where i am moving too does not have Fios yet. So i call Fairpoint to cancel contract and first rep said no problem August 1st you all set. So today i call to get it shut off early and she tells me they are going to charge me a $99 cancellation fee. This is CRAZY i wanted Fios at my new house but you DON'T offer it so why am i paying you? I would honor the 2 year contract but you have NO SERVICES in my new house!!!! Your taking advantage and you already screw me on my cellphone and now you want $99. BBB here i come.

Poor Verizon customer service

I sold my soul to the devil (Verizon) last April 2007 when I switched from Comast to DirectTV/Verizon to get this really great deal. NO deal just a big headache and never got what was promised. So when my 1 yr contract was up I switched back to Comcast. Verizon sent me an email stating that they rec'd notification that I cancelled my service and they went and opened a new acct for me. Why would the arbitrally do that. It took two months to get them to stop billing me for the new service (in which I never authorized or requested) and to boot they were charging an expired debit card. As it stands right now after countless and I mean countless hours of phone calls to reps I am getting a notice from a collection agency stating that I owe them $86.87 and yet an invoice from Verizon showing I have a credit bal of $85.77. This credit is from when I finally getting thru to someone and they said since I no have the debit card in service they would send me a check. Now which is it Verizon??? Can someone make up my mind for me?? I tell all my friends, family and even strangers this story so they won't get sucked into the same run around I am getting.

Verizon, owes me money, not helping me.

I paid Verizon via EFT mistakenly for my Verizon Wireless bill. Wireless harrassed me for the money, I kept telling them Verizon has it and they need to figure out what pocket they stuck it in. I wound up paying after threats by wireless, and now Verizon won't give back the original money paid to a dead account. I tried working with them, but it seems they all went to Useless University. Finally went to State AG and the FCC Consumer Complaints folks......maybe they can get some work out of them, I have tried via phone, email, faxes, you name it. must be nice working for them, you don't have to actually do any work. I'll never use them again, just on principle.

Verizon not customer friendly

I have not had acceptable land line service since May 14th (& called this very day). Yet they stated I did not report trouble on my line until June 20th (from June 20th, I had intermediate service & when I did have service it was so statically, I could not hear the caller). So as usually, what ever the BIG corp states that is in their notes is gospel, regardless of the names and dates I have to support my argument. Today, they only agreed to credit my account for a few days! That is just why I am no longer a customer of Verizon.
