Verizon fine print in contract

Verizon was very nice when they installed equipment for TV, phone and computer service. The installer said, no charge for installation or equipment. He showed me where to sign, didn't instruct me to read tho hole thing VERY CAREFULLY and was on his way. Three years later I canceled Verizon and went to another company. Verizon sent me a box and told me to pack up the equipment and send it to them. The box only held half of the equipment. I tripped unmounting one of the boxes from my garage wall, fell and broke my ribs. Verizon wants me to pay 850.00 because I didn't send all the equipment.

Verizon Wireless mandatory data plan

I have been a customer of verizon for many, many years. I have 5 lines, already paying $160 per month, x that by 10 years and it is $19,200. Now they force a data plan on you that I do not want or need in order to have the phone you want. Sorry to say, i'm looking elsewhere for my cell service. Come on verizon, have you not already made enough money from me that you need to force unwanted services on us. My main question for verizon is why do I have to pay data if I plan on not using data?

Verizon in Houston, Texas - Verison DSL scam

I've had and been battling with Verison DSL customer service for almost a year. The whole time that we've had this service, we have been charged for 2 accounts. Every month, when the billing is directly withdrawn from our checking account, we call customer service and it's the same song-and-dance. The customer service sucks. When we first started our service, we had nothing but problems with connections. They finally got it taken care of but the billing is a total scam. In the remote area of South east Texas we live in, Verison is the only option. Believe me, we have explored others. But, my wife is in school online and we need a connection so we have to endure the thievery. Everyone I have talked to in this area that has had Verison has had the same problem with the billing dept. If you have ANY other options for internet service in your area, take them, even though they may be more expensive. It will be cheaper in the long run. No agency, such as the BBB, will help. I'm sure Verison has covered themselves there.

Verizon in Saint Louis, Missouri - Poor Customer Service Ever

I am glad I don't have FIOS bundle from Verizon. Friends and family members who switched to FIOS are very frustrated with Customer Service provided and response from representative (if you can get to them). I am glad that I don't have FIOS and now even more determined not to have FIOS after a terrible customer service experience that I lately had to resolve one issue with my DSL slowness. I am writing this out of sheer frustration and disappointment that I had lately. I fell sorry for those who got FIO and are now in trouble for not getting what they were told :( A concerned consumer :)

Verizon in Reston, Virginia - Chages for data not on contract and not used

recently purchased new phone kept the same plan but, Verizon added a data access charge. I have been told this is not able to be taken off the charges because it is part of the plan and comes with the phone. Too bad I dont use it and dont think I should have to pay for it. I was never told this up front. Will definitely be leaving and going to a different carrier. If I wanted data and used it I would not have a problem But, to pay 9.99 per phone line when I already pay over 100.00 per month is just plain sad And to top it all off I was hung up on by a supervisor

Verizon Customer Service is the absolute worst

I have never experienced such poor customer service. I have been trying to get a simple business line set up in my home. Verizon says that this is simple, but has canceled my installation appointment twice and now cannot seem to tell me when someone will be out here. I have spent over 10 hours on the phone with them over the course of the week. My last call was 1-1/2 hours and I was transferred to 8 people. I have even heard from Verizon employees that the company is so bad at customer service since it is so departmentalized and ultimately no one can help the customer. Each department has to cover their back and therefore no one be the champion for the customer.
