Verizon Escapade Cell Phone is a piece of ***!

This past week my two year contract expired with Verizon and I was eligible for a free phone if I renewed. I chose the Escapade. My phone arrived and I immediately activated it. What can I say about this phone? I believe the phrase "piece of ***" pretty much covers it! The sound quality was horrible! No matter who I was talking to, their voice would fade in and out. They also sounded tinny. When I then tried turning the volume up on the phone it caused the call to then sound muffled. The phone's features were also very complicated to use. I'm a member of MENSA and my husband is a computer tech, and we both had problems accessing certain features. Upon checking online (something I should have done first!), I discovered that these complaints about this phone are common. I then hopped into my car and drove to the nearest Verizon Shop. Once I was there, the salesman acted shocked that I was having a problem and offered to have a repairman check the phone. When I mentioned the numerous similar online complaints about my phone I was told that "Many of the less expensive models have this problem". At that point my husband asked "So why does Verizon sell an inferior product knowing it doesn't work right?". The salesman didn't answer. The phone I had been using for the past 2 years was no longer available and all the "better" phones required that I either shell out bucks for them or commit to adding services that I neither needed or wanted. So much for the "FREE every two years" plan! In the end I reactivated my old phone and left with my useless new phone still in the box. I received no discount and am now locked in for two more years with Verizon. So my advice to you is that when it comes to cell phone shopping, beware. Read the customer reviews online and don't trust the ones written by the cell phone provider.

Verizon in Millville, New Jersey - Hung up on me

After 15 minutes and speaking with two "customer service specialists" I was hung up on while waiting to reach the third because their options did not fit the reason I was calling. I hit '0' (the universal PLEASE GET THE OPERATOR BEFORE I SCREAM button)and the system hung up on me. Now what? More words just to satisfy the 100 word minimum. I thought being brief was a good thing. Guess not. Now I'm even more pissed because I have to keep typing just to get my *** little rant posted. I'm still not at 100. Wait, there I made it.

Verizon DSL

Verizon DSL is not A+ certified. They know nothing about computer repair. They merely read from a script. I found this out after they lied to me and started to mess up my computer, which I straightened out luckily. I would not recommend Verizon DSL to anyone! They need to go out of business. In the near future, I am looking at switching to another ISP. I do not understand why Verizon HQ even allows this. It is so strange. Is Verizon trying to save money or what? They will be losing $$$ if they are not more careful in the future. Verizon sucks!!! Pam B

Verizon No customer service

I have been getting a call for a Louise Tabrom from Verizon's automated customer service every day for the last month. They ask you to hit * if they have the wrong number. Well, it always rings busy and then disconnects. I have tried by telephone to get this lady off my home number but unless I know her phone number they couldn't help. They recommended going online....HAHA what a joke. There is nowhere that you can request that the automated service quit calling the wrong number. They only have help for problems with MY BILL. How can I get this woman off my home number? Must I keep hearing from Verizon? I also cannot block this number!!!!!

Verizon FIOS came through and corrected my problem.

After having FIOS TV installed and then cutting out after four hours,I called for service and was told nobody could come out until 5 days later! I then called Verizon's vice-president's office and was transferred to the Escalation Department. I also visited our local Verizon office that same day. I don't know who was responsible, but a technician fixed our service that night (overtime)! We received a call also from the vice president's office checking to make sure someone was helping us. Over the next three days, that same office, the local office, and the technician called us about five times to make sure everything was still in working order. Thank you, Verizon!

Verizon defective modem not refunded

Verizon replaced a defective modem and charged me $99.00 at the beginning of this year. When I called they said they would refund the money and that I should pay the entire bill including the $99.00. They did not refund the monies. By the way this was the second defective modem that they have had to replace. I called on two occasions and you know how long that takes 30-45 mins and was promised on both occasions it would be refunded on my next bill or it may take 2-3 biling cycles. Okay, so I have to pay for their mistake and now they cannot seem to find the time to refund me the money they in effect stole. I went on the web site and tried to e-mail them on the appropriate form and each time when I clicked submit, and error page message came up. I did copy the form and print it out as well as the error page messages. So now it's time to turn to the FCC for help. Good luck if they overcharge you getting your money back.

Verizon Customer Service

Horrible! Took two hours to resolve an un-authorized charge on my business account. I tried 5 different customer service numbers and after following all the proper prompts I got a recording that the offices were closed and open M-F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm EST. Well, I was calling between 9:30 - 11:oo am EST on a Tuesday. I even tried sales (thinking they would answer) and got the same thing. Finally, I through to Tech Support, waited on hold for 20 minutes and they got me through to a billing specialist. This isn't the first time they have pissed me off. Verizon, by far, has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. As soon as my contract is over I am switching providers!

Verizon in Macomb, Michigan - Finders Keepers

My Droid phone flaked out on me twice. So when I got my 3rd Droid in the mail, I thought I knew the procedure: Swap the battery and the back door (they don't send these with the new phone) and return the defective one. I forgot that there was a tiny (and expensive) Mini SD memory card just above the battery. I should have swapped that out too, but sent it back still inserted in the defective phone. I tried to take a picture the next day and was told to insert a memory card. Then I remembered. So I called Verizon twice, talking to supervisors, etc. to get my memory card back. They hadn't even received the package back yet, but told me that it was 'impossible' for them to return my memory card or to even send me another one unless i bought one for $80. It may have been my mistake, but so what? What kind of entity plays hardball with their customers like that? My remedy: When my contract is up, I will sell my Droid on eBay and get another Service provider. That's the simplest remedy I can think of

Verizon

I am a business owner and used Verizon Business for my internet service, and I have never experienced such cumbersome and incompitent service. I have been in business for over 7 years and I understand the processes and hoops needed to jump through in order to get anywhere, but never have I experienced this level of frustration with the most simple of tasks before!!! Slow internet service, loooong hold times, cannot find my account (every time I call!), way more expensive than the competition, and just the worst service EVER!!!! Do not ever use verizon business...... I am a very patient and understanding person, but I will never use verison business (and probably personal) ever
