Verizon charge of 12.95. Not part of my contract.

My last two Verizon bills had a charge of 12.95 added to it. It said coast to coast voice mail. I don't use that sevice. I will file a complaint with the FCC if it is not taken off of my bill. Anything to screw the consumer. I am tired of it. I try and be frugal and there is always some co. or someone up to no good. I have automatic billing and I am sure I will be going through the meat grinder the next couple of weeks. I will cancel verizon next year regardless of the outcome. In fact I don't need a cell phone.

Verizon Fios

Verizon fios has been sending me bills for a service I do not have. I am billed each month for TV, Internet and phone. They attempted to install the system in my home 3 months ago and were unable to get it to work. They took their boxes and modem and cancelled the service three days after the attempted install. I never signed the work order because they never finished the installation. Now I continue to get billed for services never provided. No one at Verizon will cancel the service. I have called numerous times to no avail. I am being held hostage by these corporate bullies. I have resorted to begging and still have not gotten anywhere. Tax paying US citizens should not be treated in this fashion. This is criminal. Any one who has called Verizon probably knows what I am talking about. This isn't a free country. We are all dictated and bullied by the verizons of this grand old USA and their isn't any recourse but to hire an attorney which costs major money. That's not American freedom if you can't afford an attorney. That's more like Mafia strong arming, taking advantage of a situation on a major scale. Some one needs to stop these thieves.

Virizon- be aware

Be aware when buying new contract, even when getting new phone for free, they charge u tax from full price( bull-i do not think this is legal) Other issue, i changed my plan to more minutes and they did not upgraded right away so i got ripped. They say if i would change by phone, instead Internet, that would be corrected. So what is the difference??? Also they still charging fee for braking cintract, that has been ruled in many other wireless companies as illegal. One day they will have to be as normal as many other wireless companies outside US.

Take your money and kick you out

Went to Verison store to pay my bill and get a texting problem resolved. I couldn't send text to my wife's phone, but everyone else worked. The customer rep sent a text to me and I replied with no problem, then I showed her that my wife was not receiving any texts from me although I could recieve them from her. They told me I had to call tech support.... of course in order to do so, you shouldn't call for support on the same phone you're having trouble with. Did they call tech support for me or at the minimum, allow me to use a phone to do so? NOPE. They basically kicked me out of their store saying I had to call tech support.... what a bunch of *** I'm so glad I actually took the time to drive there to get the problem solved... not! It's obvious that the stores have NOTHING to do with "customer service" because they're only interested in either collecting your money or selling you something new.

Verizon one bill sucks

I signed up for Verizon back in Oct 07 and every month since then I have had errors on all of my parts of the bill. One bill does not mean 1 department.. I am transferred around continuoulsy to get things cleared up not to mention the complete waste of my time. Recently my house phone stopped working and I had to use my cell phone to get them to come out to fix it.. went over in minutes when i told them why I went over I was told I should have used a payphone! i dropped them for all services and refuse to pay disconnect fees they can *** me!

Say Bye-Bye to Busines with New York State Verizon Wireless

I just had a horror story dealing with Verizon Wireless. Fortunately (for me, unfortunately for them) I'm an executive/professional with New York State--which has contracts to do business with Verizon. First thing tomorrow, I am talking with the Director of Purchasing for the state. I will make it my life's mission to ensure that we no longer do business with Verizon in any way, shape manner or form---today and in the future. If any one has any additional stories they'd like to share to help add fuel to the fire, please let me know. Bye-bye to biz with New York Verizon. It couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of bullies and thugs.

Funny this person has no power to do anything. Is like an employee saying I am going to fire the Company President casue he's a ***.

If he has issues with his phone he should make the purchasing agent aware and let him/her deal with it as I am sure he can't make changes to the contract or plan which is probably why Verizon wasn't very helpful as he is not authorize to modify the plan/contract. Besides instead of spending taxpayers money Blogging, do some work for once.

#30215

I'm confused. Just what happened with Verizon to make you post this?

You call them bullies and thugs but give no evidence. :?

#27484

Wow, you've got an attitude... I just want to point out that people that have the power to end a State partnership doesn't go to the internet and rant about it...

They just do it. So, there you have it, you are just a person threatening a huge company on a consumer website....

Verizon

Verizon is a *** company with no customer service savvy. That *** automated system is a joke and you can't get anyone in the usa...just India. What money are they saving using people in India who can't answer your questions. If they weren't breathing I would swear I was talking to a robot. I spent one hour going in circles trying to get a usa customer service person to solve a billing problem, instead I got cut off when the answers were not part of there pre-program responses. Be gone Verizon you stink big time.

Verizon's Blackberry 8830 worldphone replacement

Purchased a new Blackberry 8830 Worldphone 4.5 months ago. Phone has diligently kept in it's original leather holder and never dropped. Used only 2- times daily. It is pristine. It also has stopped voice prompts with bluetooth. Five different sets have been tried by re-pairing each one and deleting each, resetting digits and rebooting phone. Nothing works. Yes, I do have eight years of electronic education and understand computers, and virtually everything else technical including multi-million dollar medical imaging computers that I use, that most people will only get to see on discovery channel or read about. I think I can master a simple Blackberry. I was offered a replacement by mail with a REFURBISHED one; or spend more money a new one at the Verizon store. Replacing this phone after a mere 4 months? With a REFURBISHED one? What if I told you that your pacemaker that we surgically implanted needs to be replaced (by the way, surgically - again - of course)after four months and we are going to use one that we removed from a dead guy, but we cleaned it up and we will place that in you chest. And we will still bill the usual $45-65,000.00 (Subtotal, including tests and hospitalization). Sounds a little unethical, huh. My three friends; who also own Verizon Blackberry worldphones; and also have PhD's; and incidently have ALSO had problems with their Blackberry worldphone AGREE. ANd I'm sure your reply is: "well that's different". Is it? We are paying for a phone that is at the top of the food chain (as as far as Verizon phone choices go), and more expensive PDA monthly services. We expect the software to work; and we expect to recieve a like-replacement before a year of ownership. So, next time one of you come to see me to fix your heart, I'll make sure we use USED catheters to trace into your heart's vessels, and we'll make sure none of our software is reliable and ALL THE OTHER AMAZING EQUIPMENT used to save your life during the procedures is either kinda working or not. Good plan, huh? You want the really scary part? People actually rely on your phones to get a hold of people like me, to come in as a team of professionals to save people like you. Give that one to your phone engineers. Hopefully we'll see one of them...or maybe not, huh?

All I want to do is pay my bill. ...

I ported my Verizon home number to my Verizon Wireless phone. I called Verizon to pay my bill which includes Fios TV & Internet and now they have no record in their Db. Before I can explain the rep sends me to Verizon Wireless and of course they have no clue. ... so I cannot pay my bill. I called my account rep two days ago (Fios assigned one to me) & her sup yesterday and still no call back. So I will wait until my Fios is disconnected and go back to BrightHouse. I am a fVZ employee in Tampa, FL, and am not happy.l

the same thing happened to me. could not pay my bill online.

it seems that because i added home phone service to my account (already had internet and tv), it knocked me out of the system some way so that i had to re-register my account online to activate. noone at verizon could tell me what i needed to do until i finally got a guy with sense enough to figure it out. the account managers they have hired are not qualified or disciplined enough to be "out of office" reps.

they never have your information and always promised to call when they return to the "office" but never do. it was a nice concept and would work if they had proper training and experience.

:o( i wish my contract would hurry up and end!

Verizon screws us twice in 9 years

It started when we lived in Washington State, my wife signed up for Verizon wireless and asked at the time if our service would be good when we moved to New York. She was told it was completely transferrable. Well, long story short, it wasn't. Trying to rectify the situation, and no coverage where we moved to (can you hear me now?) she was told by customer service, "you should have thought of that before you moved." When asking to speak to a supervisor, she was told that she could not because there wasn't one available. Also, to add insult to injury, Verizon was the land line company we came home to. When MCI service became available, we switched, after Verizon sucked up MCI, Verizon started to send us promotional offerings if we switched back. Well, we did, and after being over charged for the third month in a row and being told repeatedly that the "promotional " rate would start the following month, I switched to Earthlink digital. Did I mention that Verizon sent promotional DSL information to me and then told me that it was not available at the address they sent the junk mail to?

Their television advertising has that large group of people following that stooge around whever the user goes, kinda like Santa Clause going to every good child's house. I wonder which person in that mob is customer service? I bet there isn't one!

#50807

they over charge as a practice , I have been getting padded bills for 7 years. We spend 1 hour per month getting credits and being assured they are gone forever(verizon speak --until next billing cycle)

Customer Service...NOT!

I just spent over 20 minutes trying to get a 'live' person to no avail. I was trying to get thru to someone since they started charging me for DSL service I NEVER ordered. I had spoken with a sales rep about a bundle package, but never ordered it, but yet now I'm being charged for it. What did I do? I called a local # for Bright House (who I already have cable with) and ordered the bundle package from them! How nice it was to get a live person on the line in a minute or 2 and complete my order. Verizon also has an 'unpaid' bill on my credit report that was paid over a year ago and still shows up as being unpaid. *** VERIZON!!!

I used to have comcast but switched to verizon when comcast bill went up. That was a tragic decision.

7 months later i am still fighting to get rid of a double charge on my account, they tried to send me to collection, i have called more than 20 times and you are right, they try to get rid of you as soon as possible and just transfer you to another department.

I just switched back to comcast and got their 2 years package. I'd rather go to direct TV that deal with their customer service *** again

Verizon has customer service??

I have been trying for three weeks to get high speed internet and phone service installed at my residence. I have been given three different dates of installation, and still nothing. When you call no-one seems to know what is going on, everyone wants to transfer you to someone in India, and all they do is appologize with an accent. My phone service (Hooked up three weeks later, still no DSL) sounds horrible, I can barely hear anyone on the other end and I have to constantly yell to be heard. This is the most unbelievable situation I have ever been in, and the only competition in town wants to rape you for their service.......Screw Verizon, and Comcast.

Minor child made long distance calls without my knowledge

I have a basic service with Verizon and have no long distance due to using cell phones. My minor child made long distance calls to her friend without my knowledge and 40 calls later I hear from Verizon. My phone bill is close to $1000.00 and they are not helping me at all. It is so frustrating because I did not know the calls were being made. I was told they let the calls get to $1000.00 before they contact someone and put a block on the phone. That is highway robbery. Customer service is absolutely no help and you are on the line forever. I did not authorize the calls and feel I should have some relief.

I think you need to talk with your child. Teach her to take responsibilities for her actions.

You can't even take responsibility for your actions.

I feel sorry for your child. Put her up for adoption so someone who has a sense of responsibility can raise her so she grows up to be a mature adult instead of following in your foot steps and trying to pass the blame on others.

#32360

Sorry to hear about such a gigantic bill, that would be pretty shocking.

The unfortunate truth of the situation is that being as it is your phone you're responsible for anyone who uses it and especially you're responsible for what your kids do period.

This has nothing to do with Verizon specifically as you could end up in the same situation with anyone. Your cell phone, your internet provider, your cable company (pay per view), etc.

This is not the fault of the company. This is something you need to have a stern talking to with your kid about and in the future be aware of any costs that they would be able to be incurred for any of your home services and make sure your kids know before hand not to use them and what will happen if they do.

Fairpoint + Verizon

I signed a 2 year contract for Verizon Fios about 6 months ago in New Hmapshire. At first i dealt with Verizon until they sold NH, ME contracts to Fairpoint. That is a whole other issue of how bad the service is at Fairpoint...it took be 2 weeks to get someone on the phone to explain how i can pay my bill. The main problem is i am moving back into MA and where i am moving too does not have Fios yet. So i call Fairpoint to cancel contract and first rep said no problem August 1st you all set. So today i call to get it shut off early and she tells me they are going to charge me a $99 cancellation fee. This is CRAZY i wanted Fios at my new house but you DON'T offer it so why am i paying you? I would honor the 2 year contract but you have NO SERVICES in my new house!!!! Your taking advantage and you already screw me on my cellphone and now you want $99. BBB here i come.

Poor Verizon customer service

I sold my soul to the devil (Verizon) last April 2007 when I switched from Comast to DirectTV/Verizon to get this really great deal. NO deal just a big headache and never got what was promised. So when my 1 yr contract was up I switched back to Comcast. Verizon sent me an email stating that they rec'd notification that I cancelled my service and they went and opened a new acct for me. Why would the arbitrally do that. It took two months to get them to stop billing me for the new service (in which I never authorized or requested) and to boot they were charging an expired debit card. As it stands right now after countless and I mean countless hours of phone calls to reps I am getting a notice from a collection agency stating that I owe them $86.87 and yet an invoice from Verizon showing I have a credit bal of $85.77. This credit is from when I finally getting thru to someone and they said since I no have the debit card in service they would send me a check. Now which is it Verizon??? Can someone make up my mind for me?? I tell all my friends, family and even strangers this story so they won't get sucked into the same run around I am getting.
