Verizon=Worst Cell Phone Company!

I am a old Verizon customer, never again will I use Verizon services! I have had nothing but problems from Verizon. Verizon should really consider trying to improve their customer service, I am sure I'm not the only one who feels this way either. Plus they need to make it easier for customers to get a hold of actual people when they call because the machine doesn't solve all problems, especially if your like me and no longer have a Verizon number to enter at the beginning of the call. I will briefly describe some of my problems, one was that I broke my phone with out insurance and was still under contract so I couldn't get a new phone with out it costing me more money than I had to spend but I couldn't go with out a phone so after trying to work out something with Verizon and not getting any help, I had to resort to buying a phone off of craigslist. I found a phone I liked and called Verizon before I bought it and made sure that it would not raise my bill and that it was clear and ready to go for me to active that day, Verizon told me that it was "Good and Clear and Would NOT Raise my bill." So then I proceeded to buy the phone, went to activate it and it ended up being on the stolen list. I was furious by this point because Verizon told me that it was good when I gave them the pin number before I bought the phone, and by this point I had been without a phone for several days and spent all I could afford to spend on this phone that Verizon assured me was clear. I couldn't go any longer without a phone and had no more money to spend on another phone so I called Verizon and went from manager to manager telling them the problem and trying to get some kind of help. Finally, after being on the phone for almost 2 hours, I got some help. Verizon took the phone they assured me that was clear off the stolen list and activated it for me. So then all was good again till I started getting phone calls and people complaining about my caller music they would hear every time they called me, it was like terrible elevator music. I didn't add that to my phone, Verizon did, and with out my permission. Then later when I get my cell phone bill, which is normally $40 a month, my part was $50 for this phone. Verizon told me more than once that this phone wouldn't raise my bill, but that was a lie because my bill went up by $10 a month. When I called Verizon about it they couldn't speak to me about it because my parents are the account holders. I no longer live with my parents and they have told Verizon multiple times that it is okay for me to discuss my own business about the account with Verizon without them present, and when I was trying to fix all these issues with Verizon over this new phone my family was on vacation and so it was very inconvenient for them to have to keep trying to deal with Verizon. After these and a few more smaller issues I decided to switch carriers. So I put my cell phone on Craigslist to sell it, and ended up selling it. The next day after I sold it I had voice mails from the guy who bought my phone telling me that my phone was on the stolen list and that he has already called the cops and he will press charges. I am not a bad person, I've never stole anything in my life and I definitely didn't steal that phone! I never imagined that Verizon would put it back on the stolen list. I'm glad I didn't give the phone to my little brother that phone for Christmas like I had originally planned because my parents decided my little brothers need phones and I was going to give them my phone so they wouldn't have to buy one but they decided to let my brothers pick out new phones but my point is that Verizon should have never put it back on the stolen list because I didn't steal it and I would have NEVER bought it in the 1st place if it wasn't for Verizon giving me the okay to do so. Verizon would make money on the phone if it's in use but won't make a dime off it now because its just going to have to be thrown away. If it wasn't on the stolen list it would be activated right now and bringing in money, but no instead its got a man very angry with me and calling me a thief when I haven't done anything wrong. I tried to call and talk to someone in charge to resolve this issue and state my complaint but when I finally got past the answering machine and got to talk to a actual human being, she was very rude and not helpful at all, I understand she probably wasn't happy when I was calling because she was having to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas but I could help it, I didn't want to be calling her as much as she didn't want me calling but I had cops calling me so I needed to know what to do to be able to prove that I didn't steal this phone, but she couldn't speak with me about the account because I was no longer in it and my parents are the account holders. So since I cant seem to get any help, I have resorted to writing this complaint.

Verizon Customer Service Is Surly and Insulting

In all our previous dealings with Verizon, their customer service reps have been friendly and accomodating. Recently, however, our service was interrupted after a customer service rep failed to record payment details arranged on the phone. Since that time, we are somehow flagged as pariah customers and inevitably get routed to surly, rude, insulting customer-intimidation reps no matter what the reason for our call. Most recently, we have been told "you better mind your Ps and Qs or you will probably lose your job", "if you don't pay your bill, I will turn your phone off again", and other comments that sound more like trailer trash rhetoric than customer service. For this reason alone we will be terminating our Verizon service after more than 10 years of brand loyalty. No one needs that kind of garbage from a corporation that claims to offer quality service to its customers.

Verizon, too big to care about a loyal customer.

My ESPN HD service through Verizon Fios has not worked in months. I have made multiple calls and talked with call center employees who ask me to go through the same diagnostic tests every time. Verizon sent a technician last week and after working on the box outside he (the technician) gave me his card and asked me to contact him if ESPN HD stopped working again. Two days later the same problem occurred. As I was directed I sent a text to my technician.... I never received any follow up from my text. This afternoon 12.22.11, I called the 800 number again and went through the phone tree, spoke with a front line call center person, was forced to outline my problem again before I could request a supervisor. 26 minuets later i was connected with Raj who asked me to again go through the self diagnostic tests. As I reached the 45 minuet mark with my call I asked Raj if he could take owner ship of the problem and follow through to the end. He explained that could not... So I asked him to connect me to someone within Verizon who would. Additionally I asked for a direct phone number to a supervisor so I would not have to wait on line another hour of my life to speak with someone. Raj explained that was not possible and the ONLY way to get help was to endure the beating of the 800 customer service number. (Is requesting someone to take ownership of the problem too much to ask?) I sincerely but kindly explained to Raj his answer was unacceptable (I had unsuccessfully tried it his way multiple times) and requested to speak with his supervisor. Without a word my phone call was directed to a call center in California... I had to start again with a front line call center person, verified my issue and outlined the problem before Barbara could send me to a supervisor. My call has now reached the 1 hour mark and ZERO people at Verizon have wanted to help me with anything other than "we have a technician scheduled to come out". This supervisor explained there are no phone numbers for a customer to call other than the 800 number. I asked when he called his office did he have to communicate through the customer service line. "No", he said... "I can call a direct line but we cannot provide you with that number so you can call anytime your ESPN HD doesn't work". He went on further to explain how the best way to handle this is to call multiple times which creates a "chronic ticket". Apparently when people suffer multiple frustrations they might react. It was very difficult to maintain a professional demeanor after he minimized my issue; however, I remained professional. I have been a very loyal customer with verizon and I am not a problem child. I am aware the lack of customer service from Verizon does not fall to the people in the call centers. The problem is the company is so large they don't need to care about their loyal customers. I have never written a complaint letter in my life and I am not an internet kook I just felt like I should share with the world how verizon doesn't care about their customers. My contract ends with Verizon in February. It's a shame I will have to find a new providor after these many years. Joe, Flower Mound, TX 12/22/11

Verizon in Avon, Indiana - Antonio Ortiz - disconnected our service for the HOLIDAYS!!!

My husband got the Verizon bundle which included Directtv, internet and phone. our account got crossed with another Antonio Ortiz and they were charging us over $700 a month! This is being going on for 5 mos. Finally he told them to disconnect the phone and internet, but they also disconnected DirectTV. Now we don't have any service at all. Directtv will not reconnect us until the next billing circle which is 1/4/12. This bundle system is the worst ever!!! i would not recommended to this service to anyone. If you have Verizon bundle system-GET OUT NOW!!!!

Verizon in Ocala, Florida - Billed me $10 for each premium message

I was paying almost $100 each month for unlimited text messages and phone ussage. I called customer service to get advise on a plan that could save me money. They changed my plan to less minutes and I started getting data charges. When I questioned the charges on my bill, I was told that the premium messages were scams. But they billed me $10.00 each for them anyway. I Kicked Verizon to the curb! Went with Straight Talk and for $45 a month have unlimited talk, text, and data. HAHAHA! Verizon I'm using your towers and I'm never coming back!

Verizon Wireless...is cheating me for services they are not delivering.

Been a customer for lots of years. Aug 2010 they sold me an LG Ally Droid phne w/2 yr contract. Fast Forward...phone does not charge and is virtually unuseable 18 months later. Verzson will not do ANYTHING to assist me---even as a long time, excellent paying customer, in getting me to the point where I have a phone that can be charged, unless I want to pay full price for another dud ($180.00). I am extremely angry about this and will in fact sever my business relationship with these scalawags as soon as financially feasible. In the meantime I guess I am stuck paying some $70/mo for a service I cannot even use. The personnel at the store I visited were pimply faced kids---jerks---rude---nasty---exactly yhe types of personnel who drive excellent customers such as myself away.

Verizon - iPhone 4S ordered but not in system

Ordered iPhone 4s from Verizon Wireless kiosk in PA on 6 Dec and told by same Kiosk in Camp Hill PA they cant find order in Iconic system w/ Apple. Will have to reorder and will take up to 3 weeks to receive in mail. Asked for manager and told too late (8pm at nite) to get one. OBTW..Apple in Lancaster PA has in stock and available for pick up. Assistant mgr at Capitol City Mall store in Camp Hill returned call stating he could see order in system but if I want to cancel I would have to get charged $300 then return for rebate. He told me I should blame Apple for not making enough iPhones. Called VerizonWireless National Customer Service and they told me Capitol City Mall mgr was wrong and not in system...but if I receive it, I can return for my money back. Wow, what great customer service, no acknowledgement of bad service or any incentives to keep me as customer...now going to Apple to get my phone.

Verizon + Nook = Worst Experience EVER

I have been on the phone for the last hour and half trying to connect a nook tablet to my verizon wifi internet. I got this nook for my dad for Christmas and I want it to be all set up for him. While setting up the nook simple touch I chose my home wifi network and put in the password. I have been trying to get it to actually connect, but nothing has happened. So I called Nook, and guess what?? They told me to call Verizon. So I called Verizon and guess what next?? I have been circulating all of verizon trying to fix this problem. I keep on going in circles and get nowhere; people are telling me to do different things and no one has a solution for this problem. When I called the Nook people they assured me that this was a simple problem that occurs regularly, yet Verizon can't do anything. So to Nook and Verizon I beg you for the sake of the world and as a daughter who is just trying to give his father a good Christmas present to fix this *** problem!

Verizon rip off

Several months ago I purchased a Verizon 'black box' in order to switch to them as my land phone carrier. I continually had difficulty with phone numbers getting through with the message, "Your number cannot be connected as dialed". Clients and friends complained that my voice always sounded 'tinny' and could barely be heard. Three times I sought Verizon assistance with the problems - once in the store where the box was purchased; twice via the phone. Finally I switched back to AT&T in order to protect my client reputation and was charged a $160 fee by Verizon for early termination although the problem was their equipment.
