Verizon has absolutely no interest in dealing with customer problems

Last year, after Sandy my service loop came down. I still had service but the wire laid across my yard and presented a danger to my children. I waited for a week or so before I tried calling Verizon and was led through a maze of voice messages which ultimately tested my line and said all was okay and dropped me with a message that I could resolve my problems by going to their website. I went there and wasted another half hour or more only to be told that it was not their problem. Finally, I stopped a service tech who was working around the corner from my house and asked him to fix it. He said they used to be able to take reports on the street but are no longer allowed to and that I would have to call it in. Its a Catch 22. I ultimately had to rehang the loop again.

Overcharged, service suspended because I would not pay alleged balance.

Problems started when I cancelled Verizon wireless in May, 2013. Have spent almost 24 collective hrs. on phone w/Verizon w/12 or 13 different reps. Verizon's right hand does not know what their left hand is doing. Been a Verizon customer since before it was called Verizon. Always pay bills on time, until June when the bill was doubled. Verizon suspended my services, without notice, which I use for business, because they claim their billing is back billed so I owed for two extra months of wireless. What????? How could this be when my bills were always paid on time? I have been treated rudely, hung up on, and patronized by their reps and supervisors. I finally paid because I need my service. Verizon owes me $87.38 + all the charges, etc.

Liars! Fraud!

My father contacted Verizon to renew his bundle. He told them he'd renew if he could get the same montly payment of $188.00. They agreed. He received a bill last month for over $240.00! When we contacted Verizon we were told THEN that there were credits that expired in August that made the bill go up. Of course, this was NOT mentioned in the phone call! Also, they said he had the option to cancel. I asked them what the catch was (knowing exactly what they weren't telling us), and they said there's a fee to cancel - they weren't going to mention THAT part until AFTER the cancellation was done! If you like hidden fees, higher than promised bills and people who are not up front about your costs, then this is the company for you. Because of their deceit, he will now have to pay $50 per month more over the next 2 years.

THE MOST AGGRESSIVE AND PREDATORY COMPANY TO DEAL WITH;ALL LIES ,CHEATING AND IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH A RESPONSIBLE PERSON TO TALK ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS.ONLY RECORDED MESSAGES AND WHEN YOU DO REACH AN OPERATOR (AFTER HOURS ON THE PHONE)THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND YOU DO NOT RESOLVE ANYTHING.I WISH SOMEONE WOULD START A CLASS ACTION IT IS HIGH TIME ;THEY HAVE A QUASI MONOPOLY IN MY AREA AND I AM BILKED EVERY MONTH.THERE SHOULD BE A LAW AGAINST THOSE PRACTICES

Welcome to Verizon.....you noticed the number of complaints right....1245 and counting....speaks volumes about the companies products, service and integrity. However, I think a pull up of all other phone/cell companies are about the same - they are all thieves in sheep's clothing

Issue with Verizon Authorized Retailer - Diamond Wireless

Diamond Wireless is an authorizer reseller of Verizon services. I had the displeasure of encountering a Diamond establishment at the Los Angeles County Fair. The employee sold me a Jet Pack with no activation fee, and on the representation that it would carry over unused data from month to month (rather than have it lost if not used within the month). There were Verizon signs all over and shirts with Verizon on them. I believed it was a Verizon company booth. I bought the unit (at a significant discount) and went home. A couple of days later, I wanted to confirm that it would in fact carry over data before the 14-day return period expired. I called Verizon from my cell and was told by the representative that there was no such thing as carryover data. I went to a Diamond Wireless kiosk in the Arcadia Westfield Mall. They did accept the unit back, but I had to pay a restocking fee of $35. A week later, I get my Verizon bill with a $35 activation fee! What? That was supposed to be free. I then learned that Diamond Wireless has their OWN activation fee and that was the one waived! I am fuming mad with Diamond Wireless, and with Verizon for getting hooked up with this outfit. They cost me $70 - and I am stuck with it. When my contract is up, I am going to check out ATT. I love Verizon service, but I cannot afford to make these mistakes.

Bate and Switch

10 Years with Verizon, which equals 2400.00 a year but they can provide a decent devise to use their service. Yet, they play many games on how they can up sell you on their new products to use their service. 3 phone lines are now going to AT&T! The retail store can arrange their own deal and for less. But they sell you on a phone, i can sell this to you for 49.99, go to register, oh sorry can't sell it but i can sell it for 149.00. Get ready to walk, oh wait i can sell it to you for 99.00. Call corporate, they point the finger at the retail store not the fact that it has "Verizon" hanging over the store they have no say. Then they try to sell me a phone for 149.99. How crazy is this bate a switch. So you switch to AT&T!!!

They didn't keep their word now we have over $1100.00 phone bill

We had gone to month to month billing on our 4 line account. All 4 phones were simple phones. One of the lines was ported to a different carrier on August 10, 2013. On August 15th, we went to the kiosk of a local Walmart to upgrade the 3 remaining lines to smart phones and add 1 new line. We requested 2G Share Everything. We were told this package could not be added until the ported number rolled off the contract, but that the package would be added AS SOON AS THE PORTED NUMBER ROLLED OFF. Our billing cycle ends on the 2nd of the month. They removed the ported number on the 3rd, after they contacted the main account owner to find out why the number was ported. So we now have an over $1100.00 bill instead of the projected $600.00 and Verizon won't fix it. Seems to me like this is on their end. I have hated Verizon for quite sometime, as has the person whose number was ported. This just seals it, and if we get out of this contract we will not go back.

First problem here is you tried to buy your cell phones where you buy your toilet paper... A wal-mart employee is hardly a solid choice to make adjustments to a contracted account that could (if done incorrectly) cost you serious $.

Wal-mart does have the authorization to sell you phones for your account and make changes but the accountability is solely on them if they screw up. Meaning Verizon is not liable because Verizon did not make the mistake.

Had you done this at a Verizon location, you would be sitting home enjoying your phones.

Wal-mart may have the lowest prices... But at what cost?

Being charged $299.000 for following instructions on returning iPhone 4S. Was instructed on box 1). Remove all accessories from your device, including battery (if removable), SIM card, etc.

I received a email stating: "your returned device has physical damage that was not caused by electrical or mechanical malfunction and is therefore not covered by the manufactures's warranty. Please take a moment to review pictures of your retuned devices below. An arrow indicates the damage to your device."

Did not receive photos.

"As explained in the Activation Guide that was included with your certified Like-New replacement , a non-refundable Damaged Device fee of $299.00 will be assessed to your account and your original device will not be returned. The fee will appear on your bill under the "equipment Charges" section with in 1 - 2 bill cycles."

Told the damage was due to my removing the battery. Was told it was not a removable battery, then told it was, but only by a Apple tec. Two screws removed the battery, the phone it self was not damaged. If I was not to remove the battery, the instructions should not have stated to. I did not know that the instruction were not for an iPhone and that if a screw driver was needed to remove the battery, I should not remove it. I have the battery an offered to send it, but was first told they would not know witch phone if was out of because they receive so many, then I was told it was burned. But knowing that they are refurbished and are used as replacement phones like the one I received they are not losing $299.00 dollars as he told me but only the cost of a battery witch is around $29.99 to a customer and probably less for Verizon.

I feel their instructions were not clear, and I did not like being treated in sure a rude matter, I was. Lied to. I will pursue this matter further. They did offer first to take 10% off the charge then finally 20%. Not acceptable, the charge is ridiculous. The are not losing $299.00 as they stated. I also have a MiFi 4620l Jetpack that goes dormant at will, that has cost me time and money. I have taken it to Verizon and gotten no were, say there are no issues with the device, yet I have seen many post regarding this problem, even on Verizon's own site.

No dial tone, intermiitent DSL and so far 13 day wait for repair

August 28 I called to report no dial tone on my phone. A ticket was created for 9/4. On 9/1 my DSL internet stopped working. I called to report that and after 27 min of music the representative told me first that my service was suspended because I did not pay(I have automatic payment arrangement) and then that it was not suspended but that the ticket was closed. When I asked why, she was unable to answer. She said it was generated by the "system" I asked to speak with a supervisor, waited for 15 min and hung up. He called me and explained that was supposed to check up on my equipment and call back, and since I did not they closed the ticket. (None of this is true, I did one check and told the representative I could not check the outside box and need a tech to come). He opened another ticket for 9/10 and assured me that this is the latest day they will come but for sure they will come 9/3 or 9/4. The did not come, I called again 9/5, after a long wait spoke to a person who seemed to be on top of things. I explained that i work from home on my computer and have deadlines. She told me that she will send a message to a supervisor who will call me. No one called! All in all I spent several hours waiting on the phone without a resolution. This experience taught me that this is a company that employs poorly trained representative, who know little and can't help. the supervisors (2 of which I spoke to) are there to pacify and get read of the complaining public but not to help. I have been a Verizon customer for several decades, and I am only one consumer. But my experience is not unique, I am sure, and it will eventually come to *** the company. By the way, this is probably the forth or fifth NO DIAL problem we have in the last year.

Billed for "extra texts" by Verizon

Verizon claims my daughter racked up 950 texts.some at 1 a.m. and some in the same minute.I know my daughter is sleeping at 1 a.m.Verizon did not admit to being at fault somehow but offered to tke 70.00 off a 140.00 charge.I was notified of overage 8-15-13.billing cycle ended 8-2-13.why wasn't I notified earlier and why did they offer to help me avoid that in the future?Seems fishy to me,but all three reps my wife talked to refused to admit any failure on Verizons part.I couldn't understand what they were saying because of background noise

Yeap....same thing is happening to my wife. Her Verizon phone is doing the 1:00am down load thing as well.....using up her data plan for no apparant reason.....personally i think its on purpose as Verizon gets to tack on overage charges.....pretty much BS with no explanation from verizon

#758596
@gerald claude

Or it could be those premium text messages your wife accepted unknowingly and now are being charged by third party companies. However, Verizon will not pay for those charges, they will charge you beacuse you might have accepted them.

VERIZON WIRELESS: CREDIT OUTLAWS !!!!!!

In the late Winter of 2009, A gang of cutthroat cell phone organized crime operators, RUSSELL CELLULAR in BATTLEFIELD, Missouri, sold me a 2 year contract as an Agent for ALLTEL. ALLTEL, a *** ant bunch of cowards and thieves, could not service my area. Russel Cellular, true to their racketeering origins, would not help me, and simultaneously, although I did not know it, ALLTEL was being absorbed by the GIANT wireless monster, VERIZON. In doing so, they purchased VERIZON's Account Receiveables, and Payables; the entire thing. Sometime later, I discovered that there was a credit derog on my credit history, due to VERIZON, arbitrarily putting it there, although I had never done credit business with VERIZON. Now, three years later, that "blip" is still there. VERIZON's gutter trash collector, MIDLAND FUNDING, still has a derog blip on my credit history. Of course, MIDLAND has no ethics. They are gutter trash, and ***-men, and criminals. They collect for companies that have the same ethics model as they have: ***. VERIZON is a company that is out of control, completely. I believe a multiple class-action that will take several billon dollars out of their cash registers, is what it will take to facilitate change. Until then, VERIZON will harm people, and help other criminals to harm decent American people. CREDIT RAPE !!!!!!!!!

Prepaid Visa gift card

Back in February of 2013, we decided to switch our Cable/Internet/phone service to Verizon Fios. Because they were advertising that if we get the "Triple Play" which is Phone, TV and Internet, with a new contract, we will get a $300 Prepaid Visa Gift Card. (witch cost us $400). When we called and talked with their representative we did verify that information, because we needed the money to cancel our contract with Dish Network. The representative told us that the Visa gift card will arrive in the mail. After about 2 months, we called again and were told that we didn't receive the card yet because it could take up to 90 days! So we waited some more. It's been over 6 months now, when we called them back they told us they have no record of anything that we are supposed to receive! Than hey said that we were supposed to receive an email with instruction about how to claim the card. We did not receive any emails! Now they're telling us that there is nothing they can do! I don't understand how do you do business like that!? They promise their costumers a gift card if they switch, but they do not deliver them! Now we are in contract with them for the next 1,5 years! We have no Gift card and a huge bill from Dish Network, for canceling their service! Talk about false advertising! This is the thanks we get for my serving in the Army for five years and protecting American peoples freedom!

Was always on time w/ payments never behind and then was charged for services i didn't receive

i told the rep when i was going to change to fios that my payment would always be a month ahead due to ss checks, then in june found out that i was being charged for a sevvice that they were supposed to connect at time of installation, unfortunetly they never hooked it up but i was paying all those months . so i called in june to make them aware and the total came to 94.00 they said dont pay it until they resolve it,thats where the promlem comes in . now they say i owe for june and i'm always late which isridiculous because my ss check comes at the 3rd of every month, that is why i was ahead, then they tell me yesterday that i am always late, because of your mistake , then they give me a credit over a period of three months that i already received and said they didn't receive a payment from me for which they did in june, and as far as the comp it takes 1/2 hour to get on . i never had so much trouble with my computer since fios was hooked up. i think it is the worst co i ever dealt and talking to people they agree and left the package started out at 79.00 i added two in home cameras for 10.00 a month a piece now i pay 126.00. can't get an answer why

Verizone wireLIES - lack of customer service

(lie to get me a discount and keep me) 2nd CS rep was validating Employee Info and said my company had a 22% discount (lie see below) Aug 22 Called CS to verify discount, rep said discount was 8% I asked Rep what did the CS Rep on 8/19 write in my account, she said she saw where the Rep indicated there was a discount, but the percent was not indicated (lie see below) I asked to speak to the Manager, the manager says the CS Rep on 8/19 did indicate the 22% Manager states she will investigate and follow up with me (lie - she has not called I called her 4 days later) still no answer on discount??

Lied about the Ultimate package

Phone Verizon agents as well as installers lied about the Ultimate package. After 4 weeks of several hours on the phone and a tech visit, they continued to lie about the contents of the Ultimate package and did not follow through on two different work orders with any resolution or communication with us. They lie in their newspaper ads as well, stating that certain channels are included when they are not. One would think that "Ultimate" would be the largest and inclusive package- the ultimate lie is what it is. I think we will be reconnecting our Dishnet soon.
