Verizon usage verification department is a joke. They will tell you one thing and lie through their teeth. Nobody there has any idea what they are doing and they dont care. They have my money but wont restore my services. Complaining to the BBB about them.

Account# 00078637****My fiancé and I moved into our new condo back in November. We obviously had nothing set up yet. We did our research and entrusted Verizon with our business. I called you all up to set up everything. Technicians were then sent to our condo to set up the television portion of the triple play we ordered and it turned out that it could not be set up due to our condo being below ground level and the satellite dish not reaching a signal. We were discouraged but tried a different approach and tried to get just Internet but prices were too expensive. I called to discontinue any service with your company and signed with another the next day. A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail from you all. Wondering as to why since no services were received I called to clarify. The person I spoke with said I needed to return the Router/ modem I received and that balance would go away so I did. A few weeks later I received another bill and then called again. The lady said to wait for the final bill maybe the router/ modem was not yet received, so I did. Now were in March 22, 2015, a couple days apart from each other I received a bill from you all and another letter that said your third party North Shore Agency was going to put this on my credit report. Not only am I disgusted with Verizon’s way of doing business but also I will recommend to everyone I know and more never to use your services under any circumstances. I will pay this bill not because your wrong but because I’m right and large corporations such as Verizon is not worth another moment in my life.

Bad Internet Service & No Weather Channel

FIOS is terrible. I moved out to the Washington DC area from the San Francisco Bay area switching to Verizon from Comcast when I moved out here. BIG mistake, FIOS internet (the only service I want or need) is so slow to the point that it completely stops working. It's almost like Verizon overloads their servers with customers. I never had this issue with Comcast, there were evenings when it might slow down a little after 5pm and then it would only last for an hour at the most, but it was never as slow as the internet speeds are with Verizon pretty much 70% of the time. Now they have gone and dropped the Weather Channel and replaced it with Accu Weather which doesn't even come close to reporting weather as well as the Weather Channel. I'm finished with Verizon FIOS,

Verizon - Internet Service Review from Pittston, Pennsylvania

I ordered internet service for my elderly parents 5 years ago. Made it very clear I wanted only internet... NO EXTRAS. Five years later, as my parents are finding it harder to attend to their business affairs and look to me for help, I find out Verizon has been charging them an additional $60 per month for security backup service, gaming service, and another service on their phone/internet bill. I called Verizon, got the run around, was told that the fees were valid because my parents didn't pick up on the descrepency, and that there was a hold on their account preventing changes from being made. In other words, Verizon has no intention of discontinuing their blatant ripoff of these elderly people. Is this how they survive... by stealing from those not savvy enough to catch on? I want my parents refunded every dime taken from them illegally and I want the Internet service either provided free of charge or shut off. Cable company has much faster service for lower rate and has NEVER ripped us off.

Must return free Router when you buy a new one or get charged 99 dollars years later.

I became one of the first subscribers to Verizon Fios in 2008 and the offer included a free Router for internet connectivity. A couple of years later I acquired a ne router from the Verizon Store and paid for it. In 2015, in my last bill, I noticed that an amount of $99 was added due to non return of a router. Apparently if you buy a new Router and completely pay for it, you must return the original that you received for free of pay an additional $99 for the unreturned free router. If you are like me, you recycle equipment that has become obsolete and so, I no longer have the useless free router that Verizon Fios provided me as an incentive to switch cable companies, but now I need to pay $99 dollars for a complete piece of junk. Why is Verizon trying to screw their best customers? I will do my best to leave Verizon and I will do my best to encourage others to do the same. What did I do wrong?

Stripped away TWC and no compensation or reduction of cost

Verizon stripped away the TWC and did not offer any reduction in cost. I am sure they would say that they kept the cost from going up...yeah, their cost...they lock you into these plans and then they can do all they want to reduce your service, but heaven forbid if you are late on a payment. so frustrating to get to this type of service level with them. They overcharge for every thing including the rental charge of the silly boxes, that i have paid for over an over but they still charge the same amount. awful awful awful.

Bring back my weather channel

VZ FIOS decided to break off negotiations with the Weather Channel as they probably were using accuweather as the stalking horse... well somebody flinched & we end up with a 2 bit weather channel... Bring it back in less than 2 weeks or I'm done. I'm going to call and use the same tactics with you... and then drop you. This repeated put financials ahead of customers choice is remarkable. Don't even get me started with your packages that bring 25 channels you don't want to get the one you do. In fact, I think that i had to get a premium channel lineup to get weather channel in the first place. /dan

well its march 16 here we go again the update:::I change location got my old number back from 10 years ago. I run a business So I guess Verizon should make my old number.

Better here what the recording said (the number you called is not in service let refer you to other business in the area) Put a knife in my back.. I been with Verizon for over 20 yrs.. So I called and complain.. this is what I get.

I have to paid for call forwarding costing 29.00 a month....So they can stop the message.. I feel this is EXTORTION what will you call it. WHY CAN VERIZON THROW THE NUMBER IN THE BIN..

SO WHAT I THINK ABOUT VERIZON....HOPE VERIIZON GOES OUT OF BUSINESS. WILL NEVER USE

I run a business, move out of one location, to a location 5 mile away..got another phone number.. my old number has a recording "Please note new phone number".. after 6-months when one of my customer call my old number you get a recording phone number no longer in service,"BUT WE CAN CONNECT YOU TO 3 SERVICES IN THAT BUSINESS" I called, didn’t believe my ears. THEN ALL *** BROKE LOOSE. Do they have the right or is this Legal..???? Dialing my old number and Verizon forwarding them to 3 of my competitors. Like throwing me at the WOLFS.. I called them and was told to me. IT'S COURTESY... AND POLICY TO FORWARD THE LINE TO 411 Been in the business for 25 years NEVER has a phone referral my service to someone else!!!! So I cancel my phone service. When to another phone service, this happen today 3-10-15

I am very upset that verizon had cancelled The Weather Channel. If I knew this was going to occur I would not have renewed my cotract. The knew a Accu Weather sucks!!!

I am upset about losing TWC, too. I have been a verizon customer ever since FIOS was offered in the Harrisburg PA area.

In addition to losing this channel, several others have been lost over the years.

I have HD boxes, and I am wondering why I bother because reception is fuzzy or freezes, and the only way to resume watching is to switch to the non HD station. Verizon needs to spend as much on customer service as they do on advertising.

They make you feel like they don't care about their customers.

I am furious. It is a standard part of any package we pay for and are now NOT getting what we pay for.

I'm going to demand a credit on my bill.

What the devil were they thinking. If they are trying to intimidate negotiations they are only ticking off their customers and will only lose the battle.

Verizon - Charge Review from Long Beach, California

i was arrested last Wednesday nite at 4 am and started making calls to my boyfriends cell phone i made 14 attempts and he was able to answer 3 times .. but i have 12 charges on my credit card.. his phone is in my name on my accounts. In fact the 3 calls that he answered by him were charged a lesser amount than the ones he did not answer.. so how in gods name are unanswered calls costing me more than the ones i actually got to talk to him . i am requesting a full review on these charges .. ive already let my bank know.. and i am disputing 11 out of the 14 charges ... lia b duran 562 338 **** or 562 743 **** .i made the calls from long beach police department.

Extremely Slow DSL service

In my opinion, Verizon DSL is not worth the aggravation; I have been using the service for a few years now since FIO's is not available in my area. The service continues to deteriorate and there doesn't seem to be a solution on the horizon, DSL continues to be the only option (at least through Verizon). I have been on the phone with tech and customer support for the past several weeks as my internet speeds continue to slow; my average Latency test readings are usually in the low 200ms range, and my download speed is usually hovering around .67Mbps & uplaoad speed around .72Mpbs, this is on the 3.00Mpbs plan! Totally unacceptable, they have sent me a new modem that did not help the situation, I have removed everything from the phone system except the modem and have connected it on a dedicated line to the exterior box on the residence and this doesn't help. One of the customer service techs even went as far as to say noise was still present on my line after the home was completely removed via the exterior connection at Verizon's exterior entry point. Check wireless or cable plans, don't waste your time or patience on Verizon DSL.

Warning stay away big scam

Agreed to two year contract. They drop channels. Then when you upgrade they extend your contract and then they take those channels away. They dont compensate for channels they take away. Scam stay away. I work hard for my money to get scammed. You give them over 3000 dollars a year to scam you There customer service is poor. They expect you to agree to an automated response after customer service assures you are not changing your ending date. Now since you upgraded your contract is extended andbyour without channels that you upgraded for such as g4 and cloo. I will contact state senator

Verizon - Samsung Galaxy 5 Review from New Orleans, Louisiana

I purchased two new Samsung Galaxy 5, under a new plan. I was given two envelopes for both phones to mail back to Verizon as requested by the young man who was very nice. They were sent out in November of 2014, one arrived, and the other never made it. I gave Verizon the tracking information numerous times and they still today March 03, 2014 have not received the other one. It shows the last tracking in Kentucky, from Alabama. Why make your customers responsible for the mishaps. I suggest you Verizon, should be responsible for the exchanges of the phones and prevents dissatisfied customers!

Extremely frustrated with Verizon high speed customer service

I own a small business that is heavily reliant on the Internet. For the past six months my Internet service has been on a roller coaster of signal strength, and in the last several weeks we have had almost no upload speed. This affects my ability to send out email, upload contracts and generally conduct business. I have been on the phone (minimum an hour every time I call) every single day including weekends with this problem, I have replaced my modem, my network panel and had three separate techs come out to my business and they are unable to resolve the problem. I am being told that the service is dropping due to a substation in another state.still no resolution to my problem, no one calling me with updates, every time I call, they promise to call me back and do not. On Sunday I came into meet a tech and waited 5 hours for him to show up. He was unable to do anything to resolve the problem because he waited over 45 minutes on hold with a Verizon service center and never could reach anyone to assist him. I keep getting told it will be another 24 hours, another 24 hours, another 24 hours with absolutely no resolution. I have been paying the bill on time, but I assure you that is going to stop....mainly because now my accounting software is requiring an update that is reliant on a consistent Internet signal, and without this update it cannot pay my employees or my bills.
