Great internet. extremly poor contractor working phones

I have been in the cable tv business for 20 years. I went to verizon for there fibers to home internet which is great ! I called to reduce my services. When they disconnected my tv services remotely they also shut down my internet after hours on the phone it was restored. Then they told me to return my equipment 35 minute drive away to the wrong address and there were three verizon stores on that particular road however there was a verizon store at that address in a nieghboring town but does not take equipment back. I finally got to the right store and they are closed sundays and mondays. Moving on, a week later I canceled verizon and was told my internet will turn off in next three days. I switched to my new carrier and I just got my verizon bill. IT WAS NEVER CLOSED.Verizon will only credit you for what they can verify so I have pay for three weeks of verizon internet I canceled. The bottom line is on weekend outside contractors work the phones they make there money on " saves" and "Upgrades" If you want to cancel or reduce service call during the week or you will be like me and never go back to great internet because it is way too expensive and they sub out to cheap labor who think screwing you over and over is fun. It took over 6 hours on the phone to reduce services and then cancel..... REALLY...... just as bad if not worse as cable tv.. and I love verizon but they dont want you after your contract is up only all your money !!!!

I've been a customer since they bought alltell. Contacted them about edge i was told one thing one day about paying past due amount and that the hotline can be taken off. But now being told something different and that i was misinformed. When i called about it again the rep says in the notes saying i declined them moving upgrade date early and also notes said not to call again. Which i never did. I remember the phone calls but if course their notes show something different. They say they are their for their customers but i was made to feel like i was lying.

Two day early cancellation results in 200.00 penalty fine

My situation happened about 10 months ago but it still eats at me that a company could fine you 200.00 because 1 of your 3 phones still had 2 days left on the contract, I had been a good dependable customer for at least 8 years prior and now cant stand to even view a Verizon sign. Its a shame because I had always been happy with the service and would have probably came back to them in the future but not anymore. I'm really sure what they did was wrong but have no energy to fight with them about and they know most do the same. "Crooks"

Contrived bill

Back in 2011 I had a Verizon cell phone for three days.On the third day I returned the phone and paid them a restocking fee of $35. Also paid the bill for one month, $40. They charged me $110 cause they alleged that I used more minutes in those three days that I should for only three days usage. I told them that regardless if I use my minutes spread over 30 days or 3 it should make no difference. Still they sent me to collections and to this day it shows on my credit report! The cows can fly over the moon before I pay those crooks for their contrived bill.

We need more towers. Our calls drop all the time. Unfair for us to pay for service we don't get!!! Put some towers up its not gonna bankrupt Verizon. We are disabled & need good reception.

Entrapped Contract Customer

From day one dealing with Verizon has been nothing but lie after lie after lie. I told the sales representative that I was interested in a no contract service and he said he could help. He started showing me different phones and their features, then pointed out the G2 Lg model stating that it could handle what I needed in a phone and then some. He said all he had to do is run a credit check, so I gave him the information he requested to do so. After a moment or so he said I was approved to get the phone and services for a set amount, s so I agreed, and paid him the required amount. After activating the phone I came to find out the next day because the phone was malfunctioning when I went to the Verizon store that that representive had lied and placed me in a contract without my knowledge or consent. The store stated that that representive was just an authorized dealer, and there was nothing they could do. It took 3 phones before I finally got 1 that worked properly, and it still has its issues to date. Nevertheless to add insults to injuries, I haven't had one month of trouble free service in approximately a year now, dealing with so called customer service both in store and online. Representives lying about the product's and service's incluing a 10 gig at no extra charge data gift thatt I found myself paying for, billing, loss of service. The latest was the G watch, I inquired about it, the aales person told me there's no additional charges and I could have it as an accessory, however when I reviewed the bill, it was anything but what I was led to believe. I haven't had 1 months quality service since I have been with Verizon and am paying 3 x 4 times more than I was before I got involved with Verizon. I am totally not satisfied with the service and wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Dropping weather channel

Fios customer for years and consider dropping weather channel for Accuweather is a major degradation of service. I have a son in Oklahoma and relatives in Myrtle Beach and both experienced severe weather problems the weekend of 5/9/2015. I also live in Florida and have relied quite heavily on the Weather Channel during hurricane season. In short ,AccuWeather is a terrible substitute and in my opinion, sucks. I have read all of Verizon's propaganda about how everyone uses their computers or phones to watch the weather. These same devices can also be used for several other Fios offers. Verizon is very profitable company and this degradation of service is strictly cost cutting. If this was not enough, Service has been sold to Frontier in Florida. Help!

A Joke, Hard to believe that a US company of such exist at all

I would need 10 000 words to explain clearly but. 1st- we got billed for a service that was never delivered 2nd- We have 3 different service from 3 different division or verizon and we needed one of the service relocated to a new address that was not in their system even tho we had 2 other service with them at that supposedly "non existing" address. Took over a month for them to sort the address out and add it in their system (for that division). Impossible to reach them for delivery status 2 months later, no one know nothing.

Verizon - Weather Channel Review from Lewisville, Texas

I'm paying a ridiculous amount of money every month for the very few channels that are important to my parents who are in their 70s and 80s. The single channel that is important to all three of us has been discontinued!!!! The Weather Channel!!! It's important, people. The elderly that don't use the internet or remember a host of local channels, it's important! The *** you replaced it with is utterly ridiculous, period. I won't have choice but to return to Time Warner if this issue doesn't change. For me, that one is poor! I put up with a lot from TWC for 19 years. My Dad is a kind and gentle man who asks for very little from anyone. He complains about nothing. He worries about the weather conditions constantly, are we prepared enough. At a healthy 84, he is going to get everything I can manage to make him happy.

Verizon - Samsung Galaxy S5 Review from King George, Virginia

Breech in security, my Samsung s v was cloned resulting in identity theft. These idiots charged me 1000 dollars was at 3 stores 8 times called multiple times and every rep could tell me nothing. They are scamming consumers to switch to sprint as sprint has merged with them .the only way to get their attention is to threaten to go prepaid. Prepaid offers everything any of these huge companies offer except its 45 a month unlimited talk text and internet. I called everyday for six weeks on the phone being passed from customer service, to fraud, to this *** and the next but until you say you will just go with boost mobile, straight talk or any number of the prepaid companies no one really has any resolution to any problems. Its all a scam. They know we need phones so assume we will put up with it. I was with a preprepaid company for 3 years with no issues and for 300 dollars you get 1 year of service. Only *** is if your phone gets lost stolen ect your responsible to buy a new one.... but most companies can now convert your phone to prepaid. No surprise bills or charges.*** with Verizon their crooks.

Awful customer service, possible internet security breach

Received an email alert for my Verizon bill. The amount, nor the 4 digit account ending code were mine. Went to live chat (you can never speak with anyone) and was told someone was possibly issued same email address as me. After 3 chats totaling over 2 hours, I still don't know if that is what happened. I really don't think so, I just think someone entered my email by mistake in the alert request on their account (probably a similar address, one digit off). I am not getting any other incorrect/stranger emails. But the chat person had no clue how to research this after I suggested this scenario. This is not some minor problem--if real, my credit cards, bank accounts are tied to this email address. My son warned me before signing up for FIOS-- internet/tv fine, but customer service so bad its not worth it.

Verizon charging me for RETURNED equipments...

After canceling my service with Verizon, i send them the equipment and 2 months later i got a letter from a collection agency saying that i owe over $1500.00. It didn't say what the money was for, after contacting them they told Verizon that i am disputing the charge and that they should send me a breakdown of what is owed. One month later i got a letter from another collection agency saying that i owe Verizon $1400.00. This second agency is now telling me that because the 1st agency couldn't collect, Verizon send the case to them to collect and she even offered me to pay HALF of the bill as a settlement. WTF??? Has anyone ever got any resolution with Verizon? This is crazy, this people are plainly scamming ex-customers.

Verizon Wireless charges falsely!

Sorry there is nothing less than one star! I have had their cell service for years, Yes, thinking they were number one. Recently we decided to drop our land-line services in favor of cell phone only for both home and office. Since then nothing but headaches ... dropped calls, missed words, and more. After numerous complaints and hurdles to jump through, they realized after testing that on a good day, we were at the very edge of their signal footprint. Seasonal changes made it worse. They were good at the time trying to provide hardware as a fix, but didn't solve the issue. On two recorded conversation I was told by their agents, their is nothing they can do further, nor am I responsible to them for anything, and my balance was paid-up. One literally said to find another carrier. After this was accomplished they are now trying to bill be for early termination regardless of what their agents said. I have spent literally hours over-and-over explaining and each time they even looked like they would take care of it. Today, they confirmed they would not!!! It looks like the BBB is my next move!

You will notice that Verizon has charged me a fee of $59.99 for "Terminating" the so-called Premium Technical Support, which I never asked for. They added this service on their own. This is outright fraud and these unauthorized charges ought to be promptly deleted and my account credited accordingly. I am a Verizon Fios customer for phone, Internet and TV. Ever since I switched to Verizon, the installation never worked properly—almost two years. 1. The cable modem is intermittent, the WiFi is erratic.2. The battery back-up for the telephone has stopped working a long time ago.3. Verizon Fios e-mail system does not work the way it is supposed to.4. The three set-top boxes reboot themselves on their own at random intervals.This prevents us watching television shows, especially news.5. The Verizon cable routing is underneath my driveway. When Verizon was doing this installation, I repeatedly told the crew NOT to route their fiber cable underneath the driveway, because the driveway was all cracked and I needed to repave it. No one listened and went ahead and laid the cable to my home underneath the driveway.The cable needs to be re-routed so that I can repave my driveway. When I reported these problems to Verizon, Verizon threatened to cut-off my service, and proceeded to charge me $14.99 for premium tech support on their own. When I suspended the service for an emergency travel for two months, Verizon kept piling on charges after charges. When I called the billing department, they again threatened to cut off my service. Understand that the relationship between the customer and Verizon or any corporation is an unequal one. They are sitting on top of a multi-billion dollar empire and you are a little creature that can be jerked around. I wrote the President & CEO of Verizon a long time ago about these problems. Nothing happened. Copy of my letter to the Verizon CEO is enclosed. Verizon needs to: 1. Replace the cable modem or whatever so that the network works properly. Why can’t I use my own modem which is far better than the junk they are providing?2. Verizon needs to send a software person to my home so that I can show that their e-mail is not working so that they can fix their e-mail. If their e-mail and network is working properly, I would have sent this letter by e-mail instead of through the United States Postal Service.3. Verizon needs to credit my account with $59.99 for "termination the premium support"—an unauthorized charge they added to my service on their own. This is a repeat offense which I have mentioned to you in my previous correspondence.4. Verizon need to re-route the cable so that I can proceed with repaving my driveway.5. Verizon needs to find out why the three set-top boxes reboot themselves at random points in time. In summary, you will notice that the Verizon service never has worked properly notwithstanding my repeated complaints ever since I switched to Verizon, while Verizon has been collecting payments from me for services that do not work. And at NO time prior to my text messages "mysteriously" vanashing, did ANY of Versions employees talk to me about their "Verizon Cloud" nor "messages +". Those apparently are apps that PREVENT such data losses.

Several Verizon employees have lied to me about how to retrieve several vital text messages. And on the VERY evening that I called to file a formal complaint and had planned to photograph those text messages, somehow, ALL of my text messages vanashed. Deleted. Not by me. And just last night, an employee from their Executive Offices called me to PROMISE me that she could help me obtain what I needed. She too lied. Many of those text messages are vital to a legal case that I am involved in. I have contacted the FCC and I will contact the AGs office as well as a local news team. Can they hear ME now?

This is just a person who is uneducated in technology venting. No one is accessing your phone to delete your text messages, and I would hope no sane person is thinking a hourly store employee or multi billion dollar company is going to take the time to access and delete a women's texts. I do feel sorry for her, but she is mistaken and was/is on a witch hunt that is filled with uneducated assumptions and anger due to misconstrued facts.
