Went to a verizon website to order a smart phone, was redirected to a sister company call wirefly, was a free droid phone with new activation, thought ok, ordered the phone received the phone, phone had a 30 day Guarntee happy, DIDNT know that verizon only gave 15 days to send back, Anyway phone would not work in the house, worked in town but would not work in house, tryed for 1 week, I have a regular phone from verizon for work it works fine, even tried the *228 update that worked with my work phone to no avail, so I called wirefly they said to send back phone that the phone must be defective, so I did got the new phone back on day 17, that didnt work either so I called verizon tech as advised to by wirefly, after talking to 4 reps 3 different times the tech ask my zip code and said, OH we cant guarntee the smart phone will work in residence, so the rep said he would suspend account and to send back phone, I did use the phone for a total of 55 mins no internet service, while all this was happening I recieved the first bill for 169.00 verizon rep said to wait for final bill, I did it was for 369.00 and they wanted there money and I didnt even have the phone, the rep didnt suspend the acc, so I explained the whole story again, the new verizon rep said they would reluctlanty reduce bill to 169.00 for activation fees, I still didnt think that was right but the verizon rep said the was the best they would do, with atitude, so with atitude I started paying 20.00 a month on the 169.00, didnt no at the time but they had already turned me into credit companys, I have payed the bill down to 40.00 to verizon now they have turned me into the collection place, find this out today, this is the only thing bad towards my credit, I wonder what I should do, If it is even going to make a differance now? I DONT RECOMMEND VERIZON WIRELESS TO ANYONE, as they will rip you off if they can. If I was in the wrong I would suck it up and go on, but this is ridiculous, I think I will send 5.00- 10.00 per month just to bug them, maybe not at all 1297240

if all else fails with anything Verizon...say you want a "Presidential Appeal." This gets the local rep off the phone and right up to the higher ups and your issue should be resolved within 24hrs. Costs the company lots of money and get's your "phone call" pulled for the quality assurance team to review so be nice and let the rep screw themselves

Just a thought, I am embaresed to say that I really aint that good with a pc, Im 48 years old from the old school, I did go with verizon web site, and I was redirected from there to Wirefly, Dont know why, But found out 2 other people in my area have had the same problem as the smart phone will not work in side the residence, I do beleive this why I was redidected on purpose, I didnt see in the fine print you have 30 days to return phone to wirefly but only 14 days with verizon, Isent the phone back as per wirefly said to do, didnt get phone back until day 17, which was 3 days past verizon return date, sent the phone back on day 18, after several calls found thur a verizon tech that service wont cover my area that well, I am being forced to pay a total of 169.00 for 55 mins of phone use, and told cant do anything about it, yes I am pissed, Thats why I was paying 20.00 dollars a month, And that is why me and 2 others are going to post 4feet by 8 feet signs in our fenced in yards not to use VZW cell phone service, word of mouth is best advertisment

Bills generally have a due date. If you were only paying 20.00/mnth towards your bill, it's kind of a no brainer that you were sent to a collections agency.

Secondly, purchasing the phone on another website is something that is hard to miss. You really had no idea you were on wirefly when your bought the phone? How did you know to contact them then?

To So sad, since you made your post I figure you must be a employee for verizon, I have seen some of your other post on here. With that being said I have decided to put a 4feet by 8 feet bill board in my fenced in yard and have 3 others contact me with the same idea, No lies the truth freedom of speech, DO NOT USE VERIZON THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED white background red letters, will stand out very plainly, If verizon is going to hire some one to bash people on here personally verizon has it coming. Have a nice day

Its hard to feel sorry for you when your grammar is worse than a first graders. You bought your phone from Wirefly a third party vendor and not from Verizon itself. That is YOUR fault. YOu deserve to be taken for not buying directly from Verizon.
