My Uncle passed away and my Aunt called to have the phone switched to her name. Everything was fine for 2 weeks before the land line went dead. It took 5 plus hours on the cell phone, over a 10 day period of time, speaking with 9 different people over that time, 1 visit from a technician and the phone still wasn't turned on. We were being told that when she switched the account over they discovered that her phone was on an old copper analog line and needed to be switched to a FIOS line. They didn't figure that out until day 6 when the tech got there. He told us the phone would be on by 5pm the next day and it wasn't. 2 more days went by. After calling the 9th time and threatening extreme violence (which I of course had no intentions of committing) to the employees at a local Verizon store if they didn't turn the phone back on, it was on within 2 hours after waiting 10 days.... The best part....Verizon then called the local police department on me because I threatened them! No, I'm not kidding. 1296851
