Until a few weeks ago, I worked in Verizon's "complaint department" (i.e. the Flextronics repair and sales desk)".

I thought this practice was only in the Mountain area until I went to a training session a few months ago and talked to other Flextronics trainees/. It turns out, most Verizon stores have no problem with signing a customers' name to a contract or other agreements if they "forget" to get it while the customer is still in the store?.

It was one of the legal issues that I had a problem with and questioned/. Naturally, I got the rep as "not being a team player"'.

I'd suggest EVERYONE ask to see their signature records over the last few years;. I'll bet you find at least one signature that looks nothing like your own, usually more of a lumpy line like a seismograph would display/.

If your original contract is one of those "substitute signatures", I'm willing to bet you're not obligated to the contract..

If a class-action lawsuit is started over this, I'm more than willing to testify that I was told on numerous occasions to sign customers' signatures to things, that others have told me they've done it in other areas, that I've witnessed coworkers doing it. What is happening is not right and someone should put a stop to it. 12967e9

OMG! But why don't you former employees write a letter to the Attorney General and the regulatory agency and FCC? You are obligated to let these agencies know that this is going on so they can investigate it. I'm sure if you opened that pandora's box there are many others who will join your team of complaints and confessions. Do not just complain here, take it to all the larger agencies that have teeth. Thank you all for your honesty.

PAY YOUR BILL I have found the best way is to get them in the pocket book. Pay them $1.00, then pay $1.01, then $1.02 etc... this way they will pay excessive transaction fees to the credit card companys, revenge is sweet

@Lily08574

Glad you were able to respect your place of employment. But that is YOUR experience. :roll The amount of lawsuits regarding Verizon's behavior and lying to customers is evidence enough that your experience is not the norm.

Some people are happy in positions where they lie by omission to customers in order to make sales goals every single *** month... but I wasn't and I'll never go back to it.

I was an FTS for Flex. I loved working with VZW team members and customers. The VZW employees I worked with were nothing but honest, respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful individuals towards customers.

It doesn't surprise me. They're probably trying to rationalize their criminal fraud by saying it was just to meet a quota. The ends justify the means in cheating criminanl minds.

And "if the customer complains it will be taken off the bill later"

I heard many of the field technicians are the exact opposite but still falsifying records. Heard many hate to write bills on uninsured customer problems so they fraudulently lie on their trouble reports

saying the problem was out in the company cable. This costs the company money, they cheated their employer out of money by not billing the customer.

The company also can use cable trouble reports to justify maintenance costs or new plant for subscriber rate increases. So the public must pay because a lazy technician hates paperwork.

I left VZW corporate sales and never looked back. 3 years with that company doing retail sales and I didn't even say goodbye. Forging a customers sig? It happened ALL THE TIME. As long as your numbers were good, you could get away with anything. Anything. They're all internally brainwashed, overstressed, idiots on a highway to heart problems and early balding. Flextronics was a pretty reputable company... It's just VZW and their shadiness... You guys deserved to be paid VZW wages btw (valuable employees). Its amazing what you can get away with in the US with a ton of money. Sell sell sell, deny deny deny.

RE: Really, on 16-03-2010 21:56

WRONG!! The Flextronics people take their cues from Verizon corporate officers. On more than one occasion, it was the VERIZON manager who simply "hinted" that I get a signature "any way I could". Verizon is crooked through and through. That's why they're now being sued for those "data" charges. We were not allowed to suggest to customers that they simply block the feature, or to even tell the customer they COULD block it. SELLSELLSELL was the daily mantra. I hated it.
